If Trey Gowdy rejects the demonstrated theory that the universe and all things contained within our universe is not relative, as explained by Albert Einstein. Then Gowdy's starting point of understanding is a delusory misrepresentation of our not so common political realities.
E pluribus unum?
We have three divisive systems in our American politic. One sleeps in the street, under the bridge of socialism. The second has little time to sleep because a second job is the only thing keeping them from sleeping next the person under the bridge. Third are those like Gowdy who see the magnificent multifaceted and diverse billion colored spectrum of behavioral humanity as black and white pillars of only good and only bad. Which of course is a Beavis and Butthead approved notion.
A mother goes to a multi million dollar grocery store and steals a loaf of bread, a dozen eggs, a quart of milk to feed her 5 hungry children because someone stole her benefits card and spent its balance.
A good man assists a gay teen away from drugs and alcohol and thoughts of suicide as well as bringing up his grades in school with careful tutoring while mutually assenting through the black and white pillars of a one size fits all, hysterically created dogmatic taboo.
A man waking down the street without a cell phone sees a woman struck by a hit and run driver. Runs to a farm house for help. No answer. Sees a car with keys in it. Steals the car to race the woman to the hospital.
It's all relative Trey, the universe, as well as politics. We all need to grow in tolerant logical thought, not hysterical dogmatic pillars of black and white. We need a new premise of understanding in the United States.....Lets try this.....Be tolerant because everyone is not just like you.
