My husband, parents and myself met here for lunch after a rough day of getting a flat and spending 2 hours out in the cold. We may not have seemed like the most lively bunch, but we certainly weren't rude and still smiled and communicated in a friendly manor. Our waiter however was in the best way I can describe it, flamboyantly bipolar. He was sitting down with the guests next to us and discussing intimate life stories, up to par on their refills and very blatantly neglecting us. To top it off, he didn't split our bill 50/50 but rather charged us each 50% PLUS 100%! This horrible $75 meal just became a $200 meal. The meal was 1/2 burnt, the service was horrible and the charge was out of line. Need I say more?

sorry, but the food there is as bad as it can be without actually being harmful, well that's a bit harsh, its not bad, its bland. unfortunately, this restaurant is quite popular and so I've been dragged there a few times so I've had an opportunity to try different things, so if you have to go try the mushroom ravioli with sun dried tomato sauce, its the only thing I've tried there that was not only decent, it was actually good, otherwise pass and go somewhere else. oh, and i do have to say that each time i had been there i had good, friendly service.

If you want store bought pasta sauce with your cold pasta this place is for you. I ordered calamari, which I have never seen them served as a half moon, yuck, stuffed mushrooms, and they were not cooked long enough, and NO taste, plus 4 different other main meals that were bland and room temp when served. This place is good if you want a cheap pasta meal or else do no waste your money. I will never be there again. YUK!!

Absolutely fantastic! Scott our waiter was awesome. From his presentation of the wine sample, the memorization of all eight meals we ordered, to the final persuasion and temptation of the desert menu. @previous posters: duh they don't take reservations! Great ambiance, great atmosphere, great dinner! 5/5

Took my family to the Olive Garden in Oswego, IL last night and couldn’t wait to order the stuffed chicken Marcela. I ordered it for lunch last year and it was amazing! Last night I have to say it was the worst meal I’ve ever ordered out, if fact the entire experience was not good. The service was terrible, my chicken was very small and hardly any stuffing in the chicken breast and the sauce was very strong I couldn’t even eat it. I think it was sitting all day or something because it had an awful taste! I don’t think I will be returning any time soon! L

After hearing good things about it, watching commercials of it, and always seeing lines outside of it, I was very unimpressed with my experience at Olive Garden. They wouldn't take our reservations on the phone, so we came in for a late dinner (7:30) and were among 10-15 people all awkwardly standing/waiting at the front of the restaurant where there was one bench that fit 3 people. When we were finally seated (around 8:05) the waiter was extremely unhelpful and unfamiliar with their menu (and food in general for that matter!). He tried to sell us some cheap wine which he was raving about but when we tried it it was awful. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and a caesar salad (they give you unlimited salad and breadsticks). The salad was disgusting... well it was more like a bowl of ranch dressing with a few leaves of lettuce in it. They give you pre-plated dishes of pre-made salad so after stomaching a few bites of it, I asked the waiter to bring me another plate with not nearly as much dressing. He came out with essentially the same thing because they're all pre-made, and said that was "the best he could do". The entre was also below average and definitely not worth the money. Not that I was looking for the most authentic italian culinary delight or anything, but I've had better spaghetti and meatballs out of a can than what they served me. The only thing that was decent were the breadsticks which I filled up on because they were unlimited and the rest of my meal was bad. After all this, the waiter managed to screw up our bill and overcharged us. When I pointed out his mistake, he went back to his manager, came back to us and said that he would have to charge my credit card AGAIN with the correct amount and at the end of the month they would remember to deduct the first charge. Great, my stomach hurts from bad food AND I have a headache over credit card transactions. The atmosphere is family friendly, but if you don't like loud restaurants with screaming little kids and crying babies do not come here. I've only been here once on a busy night so I'm going to give it another shot sometime, but from a first impression I would most certainly recommend Carrabba's over Olive Garden. To be honest, I'd recommend McDonald's over this joint.
