Chris Wright is CBC’s new head basketball coach.

CBC’s athletic director Lyle Middleton said that “Coach Wright brings a lot of experience to CBC,” and adds that Write “has been in this profession for 14 seasons, five of which have been in the NAIA and he’s been a winner.

Wright says his, “Number one job as a head coach is to develop the young men that come under his leadership.” He says that the players are going learn how to be unselfish and give back to our communities.

Being the first person in his family to graduate with a college degree Wright says that he wants, “young men who not only want to succeed athletically, but to succeed academically.” He said that 90% of the players he has coached have graduated.

A fire alarm went off at 10:45 this morning in the Mabee Student Services Complex on the CBC Campus.

Five firetrucks from the Conway Fire Department arrived to put out an electrical fire in the men’s restroom.

Students and faculty were immediately evacuated and there were no injuries.

A text notification was sent to on-campus residents advising them to go to Cafe ’52 in the Story Library for lunch since the dining hall was closed due to the fire.

The student center reopened at noon. Maintenance is repairing the damage to the men’s restroom. No other damage was reported.

Finals have finally wrapped up! Have a great Christmas break!
