Walk through the doors and almost immediately you will have the urge to wear skinny jeans and drink PBR ironically. It is very hipster, however, it is also home to a strong beer selection and some delicious grub. The burger is taken up a notch with bacon onion jam and aged VT cheddar. Chicken 2 ways includes sausage and chicken, served country style with grits and collard greens. My favorite is the grilled tuna salad Nicoise - a hearty salad with pickled haricot vert, confit potatoes and lots of olives. Anything you order promises to have a tasty little twist. The place is usually busy and very loud, so may not be best for a first date situation.

One of the best bars In Brighton. Often a huge wait and over crowded. If you want a good experience, come in for lunch or during the early evening.

Great beers on tap, and the barman let me try a few before choosing. Friendly atmosphere, and the food menu looks decent.

Bloody Mary + BBQ Breakfast = Bangin' $20 Brunch. Deep Ellum ain't kidding when it comes to drinks. The menu boasts tons on beers on tap as well as numerous inventive cocktails. Already anticipating my BBQ meal choice, I opted for the Bloody Mary ($9) which came spicy and with a pickled green bean floating around for funsies. Spot-on. My dining companion ordered the Sancho's Iced Coffee which features tequila and is topped with a heavy dose of whipped cream. Interesting. Glad we tried it. Not gonna happen again though. The BBQ breakfast ($9) is my ideal sleeping situation. Sauced-up, tender pulled pork lying atop a mattress of sweet, moist cornbread and blanketed by a perfectly fried egg sprinkled with pepper and aioli. I wish my bed was made this way every day. The combination is sweet, savory, and genius. I asked for extra BBQ sauce on the side to really drench the cornbread and bring everything together. My friend's kielbasa breakfast sandwich on an English muffin came with homefries, and the meat was spicy delicious. The portions aren't crazy huge, which is positive since we would have surely cleaned out plates regardless, considering the high tastiness factor of each. The waitress agreed that we picked the best 2 breakfasts on the menu and mentioned that she was going to eat the kielbasa one after her shift. The space is small, so I would recommend brunchin' with just a few buddies. The 2 of us waited at the bar for about 10 minutes for a table. Once we were seated the service was fast, helpful (what drink do I order??), and attentive. Although the cocktails will run you around $10 each, the food prices are all reasonable, so even if your brunch is boozy (which it should be), it won't break the bank.

I have been here several times before for drinks but this was my first time getting food. I checked their website and called again but they did not take reservations so had to go slightly early to make sure there were tables since the place is fairy small. Luckily it wasn't busy and I was able to get a table right away. The food menu is much smaller then the drink menu but there are some good options so that's always welcome. They had several vegetarian options between their starters and mains but I ended up choosing the chick pea burger for my meal. The burger was good and flavorful, not as dry as most house made veggie burgers end up. The fries were pretty average but overall the meal was nothing that special. The drink menu is extensive and certainly worth it if you are going for drinks.

Deep Ellum deserves the local praise it receives. I got appetizers and a beer with the lady and it was incredible. The cauliflower salad was fresh and refreshing, the cheese board had an excellent selection of cheese with very different flavors (the blue cheese was incredible) and the Mussel Frites where absolutely incredible. Seating can be a bit awkward as you will be quite close to your neighbor but fair price for great food... Sign me up! I will be going back

I wish I lived closer so this place could be my neighborhood bar. Always an excellent selection of beers, the cocktails are top notch and both the brunch and lunch/dinner menus kill it. The gravy and biscuits and hot wings are my go to dishes.
