On St. Patrick's Day we celebrated with shredded brisket, cabbage with bacon, red potatoes, and from scratch Irish soda bread. The residents really enjoyed the meal and the fresh bread. Activities also had a social before lunch and they served St. Patrick themed cookies and cup cakes and made an Irish punch.

VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY AND PAINT!!!
Take a look at some pictures from our Valentine’s Day Party and Paint. Our residents and a couple of ladies from the public enjoyed the refreshments and the painting. This is an activity that we hope to do at least every 3 months or so. A special thank you for Dietary Mgr. Megan Hall for helping get this set up with the instructor.

SHARE THE HOLIDAYS WITH LOVED ONES
The holidays can be lots of fun for older adults too even if they’re not in the best physical or mental shape. Here are some great ways to include your senior loved ones and bring some holiday joy into their lives and yours.
1) Play a game of cards or a board game
2) Bake some cookies together
3) Bring the grandkids around for a visit
4) Take a walk around the mall or neighborhood and enjoy the holiday decorations
5) Watch a holiday movie together and make some popcorn
6) Make a fun holiday craft
