Happy #FloralFriday! Here's a gorgeous eucalyptus in northern CA. Though eucalyptus are causing problems in many areas of the state, their flowers are undeniably fabulous.

There are some really cute ideas here, but be assured that these are temporary decorations. You can't expect plants to thrive, long-term, in these situations, and that's okay. Just don't beat yourself up when things start to look...well, less-than-cute after a few months or so.

This page from the Xerces Society has some of the most useful information you'll find on neonicotinoid pesticides and bees. Most importantly, it also has a list of the pesticides that are marketed to homeowners that contain neonics: http://www.xerces.org/neonicotinoids-and-bees/

Edibles for today's +FloralFriday share: pea flowers and pods emerging. Traditionally planted on either the Ides of March or St. Patrick's Day, I sadly won't be participating this year because my soil is still frozen and we have 2" of snow due tonight...#FloralFriday
