This place is absolutely amazing. By far one of the best BBQ places I have ever eaten at. Great customer service. No sweet tea, but the manager went back and personally made my wife and I his own special version of sweet tea that was equally awesome. Military friendly too, gives a 50% discount.

I went to Pitmaster BBQ with five other coworkers for lunch and thought it was great. I ordered a pork salad with both of their house dressings (one was a spicy, BBQish ranch, the other was a vinaigrette). I liked the salad. Surprisingly it reminded me of Cafe Rio's salads - it even had a tortilla at the bottom. My other coworkers enjoyed their meals too and everyone seemed to this it was a good deal for good food. Surprisingly, my coworker who doesn't eat meat thought his lunch of just sides was awesome - he paid $4 and came away completely stuffed. I didn't like how smokey it smelled. My jacket now smells like I've been camping.

Visited the location earlier this week for my first time and was very happy. As a man who loves his BBQ, I was happy to experience this establishment. Their portions were better in size than any other BBQ place offered and it drew us back a few days later for our second visit. The staff was helpful in assisting my family with their selections and provided samples for us to experience. They've been added to our list of places we dine frequently and you'll go hungry if you don't do the same.

I was impressed with the prices at Pitmaster BBQ House. At many BBQ places I spend easily $20 to get the selection of meats I'd like to try. Here I spent $10 and enjoyed ribs, briskett, baked beans, mac & cheese and all the corn bread I could eat. The brisket was especially flavorful and the ribs were just ok. There was a sign on our table that pointed out that we could see the BBQ operation in effect through a cut-out window looking into the kitchen. I did not see any such device so that was disappointing. We arrived after 8 pm and there was a girl that had been singing live music that was packing up. She played from 6-8pm and had we arrived earlier I'm sure that would have added to the atmosphere.

If my choice it Famous Dave's or Goodwood I pick this place. Every time I've eaten here it's been good. I wish some of the sauces were a bit more spicy, but they all have a good flavor. I LOVED the cornbread. The baked beans are very tasty. The pulled pork was good and a "little" dry only once. They fried okra is good; but I don't think it's fresh made. The Caprese burger was the only sandwich I've had and it was delicious. I've had all of the sides except the collard greens and they're all very good.

Mediocre at best. The service was good and the decor is reasonable for a strip mall BBQ place. But I go to BBQ places for the food. I love BBQ and I lived in Texas for a couple years. Utah BBQ is not great but this place is below average. The brisket isn't very tender and has no smoke ring. The pulled pork is OK but not great. The bun for the sandwiches is OK but the wrong kind for a BBQ sandwich. The potato salad is boring and desperately needs some seasoning. The platter portions were on the small side. I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to try it. I will not return even if I am nearby again.

So-so. There is no atmosphere. The portions are medium sized. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. The Cole slaw tasted onion-y. The pulled pork was pretty good, but I picked the honey BBQ sauce and it was too sweet.

This place is now closed down, with a sign on the door from the local government claiming it's an abandoned building. Used to be my favorite barbecue place until one day I got undercooked ribs and mild food poisoning. Wonder if that's why it shut down?
