Patients, physicians and family members were all smiles when they saw Mickey and Bailey strolling the halls of #SutterAuburnFaithHospital last week.

The two experienced pet therapy dogs helped welcome #PawsonCall, Sutter Healths pet therapy program, to the hospital.

Mickey and Bailey visited several patients while also bringing comfort to family members and bringing additional joy to our wonderful staff.

Mickey and Bailey and their handlers are looking for more volunteer pet therapy teams to join this amazing program. We are grateful to our generous community philanthropists who made it possible for Paws on Call to come to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital.

Carlos and other patients at #SutterChildrensCenterSacramento love to pass the time in the hospital playing video games!

A Sacramento-area resident is conducting a video game drive through Friday to bring our children more XBox 360 and PS3 games.

Local +Allstate Insurance agents volunteered to serve as collection points for all donations. Find a location near you to drop off your donated item.

We are very appreciative of generous community members who are always thinking of the children in our hospital!

#SutterDavisHospital launched its music therapy program this week! We are excited to offer this wonderful program to our patients and their families while they are in the hospital.

Music Therapist Daniel Beseda will visit Sutter Davis one day a week until we expand the program in 2017. He spent time with our patients this week, singing songs and playing the Hapi drum.

Thank you to all of the generous philanthropic support from the community to help make this program a reality.

It was only day two of playing the guitar for Xavier but he rocked out with #SutterChildrensCenterSacramento music therapist Dan earlier this week.

The two strummed along to “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”, “Old McDonald Had a Farm”, “Best Day of My Life” and more during group session at #SophiesPlace.

It’s moments like these that the #ForeverYoungFoundation, the #DonutDash and many other visionaries had in mind when they helped make this room a reality. Way to go Xavier!! #musicchangeseverything

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of retired facility dog Millie earlier this week at 14 years of age.

Millie started her journey with Child Life Specialist Jenn in 2004. She was a fiercely loyal lab who was an integral part of the pediatric oncology and Child Life team at #SutterMedicalCenterSacramento.

Millie made really difficult things a little easier for patients, families and staff. Millie will be missed by everyone, especially Jenn.

We would like to thank #CanineCompanionsforIndependence for entrusting us with this special girl.
