We went to BJs to spend a $50 Visa gift card. We decided to indulge and each of us ordered one of their $10.50 watered down cocktails, which we normally would never pay for. At the end of our meal we were informed that the electronic system BJs has in place won't accept this gift card and that this happens anytime someone tries to use one of that kind. In my opinion, a problem with their system does not constitute a problem for me. If their power had gone down and they couldn't accept credit cards at all I would I be expected to cough up cash before leaving? The manager gave a weak attempt at appearing apologetic and explained that "thats what you get when dealing with a chain" since the big decisions aren't up to him. Of course, the flip side of not being a mom and pop place is that you won't be going out of business overnight because you had to comp the equivalent of a valid gift card that you wouldn't accept, and thats what they should have done. I won't be coming back.

Been there with the family recently, during graduation weeekend. The wait staff was bad, had an attitude. 10 mins after serving the food on table he started asking us whether we need any to go boxes. May be he had a bad day or has racial bias. Anyway, there is going to be no BJs here after either at college station or anywhere else.

Great selection of beers, food's a little high, but worth the wait. Shane was our server and handled four drunk guys like a pro! Recommend you sit in his section - we'll be in there tonight.

Waiter was ok - food not so much. Man who sat us completely ignored me. Bad start to lunch out. Club cobb sandwich was not good. Fries were greasy. Waste of time and money.

We've been to this location many times when we come down to cs for a visit and the service has always been good. However, this weekend was graduation weekend. You would think the manager would've thought to have enough people on staff when the Friday 7pm ceremomy gets out. No . . . they didn't. We get to the restaurant and there is only one other group waiting, and one reservation in front of us. Our wait is supposedly only 25min, which is fine as we have 5 people in our party. More and more groups start to show up. The waiting area becomes packed with families and we start to notice that more than one group that came in after us is being seated, including huge groups of approx 20. It's been 30 min. We go up and ask them how long our wait is. They haven't been looking at the list b/c they've been overwhelmed with all the people coming in at once. Looks like they were seating the large walk-in groups first to get them out of the way, even though we got there before them. Hearing this, we decided that even if they were to seat us soon we'd still have to wait a long time for food with all the very large parties that were seated right before us. And I'm guessing since they let half the wait staff go, they were probably down in the kitchen as well. It was 11pm and we were tired of waiting. So we left and got Hungry Howies Pizza.

I love BJ's, but they screwed up my order twice in the same hour and the to-go girl didn't offer to compensate me at all, she was slow to apologize and simply just asked me what do I want to do about it. However, after calling the manager she was very accomodating and sent me a gift card in the mail. They still left a sour taste in my mouth.

Love this place normally over the years, even in different cities. However, recently they hance changed things with their pizza, which is one of their signature menu items, and it's left me disappointed every time. Bring back the pans the brick oven Chicago style pizza used to be cooked and served in, and I will be a much happier customer.
