The staff there was the friendliest and most helpful people. My wife and I were in a bind and they helped out so much. The rooms were nice and the history and sorry of the hotel is incredible. I highly recommend staying or sing in there when up there.

We love to visit the DeSoto House's Sunday brunch. It's in a beautiful atmosphere and the food is very tasty. We have three small children and they are always very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Food was great in all 3 restaurants. Rooms comfortable and clean. Free Happy Hour was great. Despite other reviewer's comment, they DO accept credit cards in the bar and restaurants AND there is free garage parking for guests of the hotel.

Beautiful historic hotel that is in the heat of downtown Galena. Very convenient to stay there because of that. The rooms were spacious. Staff was very friendly. We had a great time!!

The service was good and so was my husband's omelet. However, my "crisp Belgium waffle" was barely warm and not crispy. My eggo waffles out of my toaster are better! Very disappointed

The food was good. Our service started well but became disappointing once the food arrived. The kitchen also ended up sending out appetizer out with all of our food...
