One more thing you can do to help boost your local #bee population is to build your very own bee house for your backyard! This house is specifically made for mason bees and the great thing about these bees is they do not sting! Mason bees will pollinate your backyard orchard or garden and are safe for families. Data Update they only sting in self-defense. #backyardfun #ecotips #flowers #pollinators #getgreenandgrow

Mark your calendars Beans! Earth Day is April 22nd. Next week the Green Bean Team is going to brainstorm ways to keep our planet healthy...on Earth Day and everyday. One way is to learn something new about nature each day.

Green Beans Field Fact: Rainforests around the world help keep the Earth clean and cool. According to The Nature Conservancy, rainforests cover less than 2% of the Earth's total surface area, but are home to 50% of the Earth's plants and animals.

Hi Kids! Bloorb here. Checking in with an interesting fact from my recent flyby over the Ryukuyu archipelago in Southwest Japan. Did you know that coral reefs are actually translucent (see-through) animals? Reefs get their wild colors from millions of different algae that live in the reefs.

Alert! Reading High Contamination When stressed by climate change or pollution, corals will eject the algae causing coral bleaching that can kill the colony. Help the Green Bean Team save the reefs @ www.getgreenandgrow.com. Coral Reef Photo Credit (c) 2014 Richard Ling #coralreef #getgreenandgrow #conservation #savethereef
