When it comes to getting clothes made in Hoi An, maybe the best value-for-money options can sometimes be found away from the confusing mire of tailors in the Old Town. 'Hoi An Now' feature writer and reviewer, Louis Böhling, found a gem down Cua Dai, not far from the Ba Le market. Check it out: http://hoiannow.com/thuy-ngoc-cloth-shop/

Mimosa Pudica, a plant native to Central and South America, can now be found in all tropical zones in the world, including Hoi An. Does the secret of its success lie in its timidity - the way its leaves spring inward at the slightest touch? Watch Hoi An Now's video, 'The Shy Plant', to see Mimosa Pudica in action.

We all recognize that Vietnam has one of the world's most diverse and interesting cuisines but sometimes you just hanker for the taste of home or your favorite international dishes. From Italian to Korean, from French to Pub Grub, from Indian to Mexican, Hoi An Now's 'International Eateries' provides a nifty snapshot of the fabulous and extensive range available in Hoi An - a town that really punches above its weight when it comes to international cuisine. If you're looking for a fun night out in the hub of Hoi An, Before and Now Bar is definitely the place to beat. The drinks are reasonable and the deep pan pizza is delicious! It also boasts a great view from the balcony. Learn more here

Q Bar is Hoi An Old Town's most stylish bar and one of its most expensive but a generous happy hour (11am-7pm) is hard to knock back. Great contemporary sounds and stylish surrounds make for an experience that could be in London, Sydney, or New York. See Hoi An Now's take here:

New Vietnamese Restaurant, Purple Rain, brings south Vietnamese cuisine to Hoi An alongside local specialties. It's a lovely, quiet oasis bordering the backpacker mayhem on An Hoi Islet. Check out Hoi An Now feature reviewer Ken Shearman's take here:
