The author seems to forget that the President and his staff have gone to unparalleled lengths to snub and undercut Netanyahu and Israel from virtually the beginning of the Obama presidency.  Has the President issued DEMANDS to any other U.S. ally, except Israel?  No.  Has the President rejected written guaranties provided to any other nation (which were provided by the U.S. to Israel as recently as the Bush administration), except Israel?  No.  Has the President spoken out against policies of any other allied world leader during their elections, as he did against Netanyahu during a previous Israeli election?  No.   A top Administration official called Netanyahu (a world leader of a decades-long strategic U.S. ally in the Middle East) "a chickenshit" not six months ago.  Can anyone imagine such a comment about Putin of Russia, Kim of North Korea or Khamenei of Iran (all U.S. enemies), much less about any other allied leader (such as Merkel in Germany, Abe in Japan or Cameron in England)?  Unthinkable.  I can only assume that (1) the article's writer is interested in outcomes (stirring anger toward Netanyahu and Israel) rather than facts, (2) the President has personal (not presidential) reasons for hating Israel and/or (3) this is all farce intended to publicly distance the President and the U.S. from Israel in light of an imminent Israeli raid of Iran's nuclear facilities.
