Cackalacky® Railroad Fun Facts:
- The Cackalacky Railroad was envisioned, designed, and constructed by North Carolina-based expert railroad modelers, "Hot Rod Frank" Simmons, Jay Root, and Marc Augustine
- The train includes eleven pieces of G scale LGB and Aristo-Craft rolling stock powered by a custom painted Aristo-Craft G Scale Alco RS-3 Diesel Locomotive
- The overhead railroad employs more than 183' of track throughout the entire Cackalacky® Where House space
- The extensive overhead scaffolding suspension system and bridges are made entirely of stained oak
- The track includes eight unique full-length (no connectors) 8' diameter curves
- The rolling stock and locomotive lettering were done locally by NC Signs based in Siler City
- The locomotive painting was done by Neuse River Valley Railroad Club expert modeler, George Lasley
- The "start" push button for the train initiates a sequence of audio and visual cues when activated by visitors
