They are yum, +Flexible Vegan
I made some the other day. I haven't had cake or muffins in a while, and while I didn't get the chance to ice them, they were among some of the best chocolate muffins I've had.
This may be because they're the first chocolate muffins I've had where I used really high quality ingredients.
I made a few changes, such as using some carob in place of some of the cacao powder, and raw cacao powder and butter in place of the chocolate chips.
I also added some water, since I used (strained) stevia tea, molasses, and honey in place of agave.
I tend to customise recipes pretty liberally. :D
The batch I made was really rich, so I might use a bit more flour or less oil in the next batch.
I'm not sure if the frosting helps to cut the richness. Looking at the recipe, I imagine it may not! :D
