My new program is coming: Presenting for Humans Success Circle (aka "Perfectionist Speakers Anonymous")!

If you've read the book (or if you haven't, but have been meaning to), this program will walk you through discussion questions, activities and exercises to help you implement the principles, tools and actions in the book.

For now, put Thursday, September 7 at 1:00 PDT/4:00 EDT on your calendar so you'll remember the start date. More info and registration coming soon!

I'm looking forward to guiding you through the principles in the book that will help you become a better speaker, a more joyful speaker, a more captivating speaker, a more effective speaker and, most important, a more human speaker.

Hey friends! My Thunderclap campaign to promote my book on July 13 is at 76%! That means I've got 76 supporters who will have automated Facebook posts and tweets going out on July 13 to spread the word about my book. Those 76 people have a social media reach of 280,415 people. Wow! If you haven't yet supported the Thunderclap, will you consider joining? I just need 24 more people to join in order to reach my goal of 100 (although I don't mind going OVER 100)! Thanks, y'all! http://thndr.me/NGKzau

Thank you, +Amy Kinnaird, for leaving an Amazon review for my book "Presenting for Humans: Insights for Speakers on Ditching Perfection and Creating Connection!"

"Lisa Braithwaite's new book is a quick, easy read filled with dozens of ideas on how to prepare and deliver an engaging presentation. Through her fun stories and examples the reader will identify with lots of scenarios and see her clever metaphors make the perfect point. No matter what level of speaker you are, you'll pick up some great tips for keeping your audience entertained and paying attention. Buy this for yourself and for your friends or clients who'd appreciate Lisa's encouragement to put the human connection back into speaking."

Hey y'all! Don't forget to register for my webinar/interview with Cathy Dorton Fyock on using analogies to create a compelling presentation, based on my book "Presenting for Humans: Insights for Speakers on Ditching Perfection and Creating Connection." Yes, it's a nerdy little trick, but analogies are like mini stories that help your audiences take your concepts and apply them easily to things they already know in their lives. They help your audiences experience your concepts in new and fresh ways. You know how much people like stories, right? Analogies are way easier to put together and there is really an endless supply of analogies all around you if you just know how to find them! See you Thursday! https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/3388073995756177154
