Chic, contemporary spot pairing wine & cocktails with upscale Italian- & Spanish-influenced cooking.- Google
"Fresh sardines, roasted corn soup, sautéed scallops and wild mushroom linguini."
"I'd put it against any Italian place downtown and you'll pay half the price."

My family is from out of town and we are so pleased to have found this gem in New York! The staff are super friendly and very accommodating and the ambiance is lovely, soothing colors yet still edgy and elegant without being stuffy. The food was tasty from the whole fish with sauteed vegetables, the steak with smashed potatoes and the leg of lamb...we ate every bite! We also always travel in such a large family unit when visiting it is nice to have a place that we will always feel welcome. This was our second time there, celebrating an 86th birthday with a wheelchair and a one year old in a stroller. We also enjoyed talking with the owner's mother whose Jamaican accent was refreshing as we too had Jamaican roots!!!

We had a very good meal. Fresh sardines, roasted corn soup, sautéed scallops and wild mushroom linguini. Everything was fresh, tastefully prepared and delicious, with a touch of sophistication. I look forward to returning.

The food was delicious. The mushroom pasta is great. Great wine pairing suggestions with the food. I would give it a 5 but the service was not all that great on that day we went.

Wow. Rib eye was perfect. The pork belly special blew us away. The best meal of the night was the beet lumache. The cheesecake and the olive oil cake were also impressive.

Just wow. One of the best restaurants in the city and it's located right around the corner from me. I lucked out. The wine list is very well selected and at a great price, staff is amazing and personal, and the food is out of this world. They change the menu monthly and locally source most of the menu. I'd put it against any Italian place downtown and you'll pay half the price. Couldn't recommend it more.

I've been to Vinateria a couple of times now and the thing that always stands out is that the staff were attentive and quite friendly. Regardless if I was in the bar area or at a table I felt that my needs were being met. The decor is lovely and the atmosphere is nice. The folks who come to dine and drink are a lovely mixture of Harlem folks, tourists, and NY/ NJ residents. I didn't feel like I was a tourist within a new neighborhood hot spot. I'm not a fan of the prices for some items even though I enjoyed the adult beverages and food. Hoping the menu will expand a bit in the future.

Incredible and great quality food, delicious desserts, friendly staff, great variety of wines, beautiful ambiance, and definitely would recommend the beef tartare, octopus salad, strip steak, and zeppoles! I highly recommend you stop by here if you are in the neighborhood so worth every penny!
