There's a new post up with new flash fiction inspiration in the Flash Fiction Project community!
Happy Flash Fiction Friday! I'm sitting in my office, watching the snow fall outside my windows, and thinking it's a great day to send you a little flash… - Becket Morgan - Google+

Okay lovelies - you are all apparently far too busy to add in Flash this November! I'll hold off on more images until I get a little more feedback about a good time for folks to write about them :) Thank you +Sarah Pohl for being a rock star :):)

Sorry. In the middle of trying to write a novel right now. But I should have at least noted the two year anniversary of my return to writing fiction, triggered by you and the Flash Fiction Project. Many thanks!

Right, I'm not into pirates and couldn't think of anything the whole day, so in the end I went for what's probably my new motto: "when in doubt, write erotica".

I'm already in, I just wanted to mention that that's my picture. :-) And thanks for the reminder, I was so busy I forgot to get the last four old challenges done before!

Play Me a Song, Sam

While meandering on Flickr today, I discovered this gem and decided I wanted to what sort of #flashfiction  you lovely writers could come up with. Please include the attribution link: https://flic.kr/p/efZyGR

I knew I was taking a risk playing at the cathedral green, but bringing my expensive guitar to play for all of the church goers was a risk I had to take. As I lauched into a cover of Kenny Loggin's Leap of Faith, I thought to myself about what a leap of faith I was taking, setting myself up for ridicule and persecution.

I wasn't what you might call talented. My playing was just good enough to sound annoyingly bland.

As a fellow passed by I called out, "How you doing?" and he answered, "Better before I heard you play!" I suppose he was just being funny but that really hurt my feelings.

I unplugged my guitar and left. I would never return to this lawless place again.

(sorry these are getting posted late - if I could figure out how to post to a page via mobile it would be much easier to get these posted early in the day!)

Using shared inspirational items as a prompt for writing and sharing!
Introduction
Coordinated by +Becket Morgan, the Flash Fiction Project on G+ is a place for lovers of writing and reading to come together and share brief pieces of writing based on shared inspiration.

The Project was founded here on Google+ in November of 2011 as an alternative to National Novel Writing Month. Each day in November, we featured a visual image for writers to use as inspiration provided by photographers and visual artists of G+.

Periodically, we will feature images here on the page and encourage members to write some piece of fiction based on the image and share their work in the FFP community. To participate fully and to share your own work on a regular basis, please join the Flash Fiction Project Community

The "Rules"
Write something inspired by the image and share it here on G+.

(yes, really, that's it)

Participate as many or as few days as you like, just link your work for the prompt to the thread on this page (which contains the prompt).  Feel free to write elsewhere and just add a link to your G+ post or your blog if that works better for you.  Some folks concerned about copyright have written on their personal blogs and just added a link in the "comments" for each day's post.

The best part - interpret it however you like.  Don't overthink it - editing is for later.  Just go with what inspires you and send it out to the Plussoverse.  Keep comments positive an let's help keep each other inspired to keep writing!

*Copyright Note:* Unless otherwise indicated, all images (as of 1/1/12) have a Creative Commons Attribution license. This means you are free to copy, distribute and display the image and derivative works based upon it, as long as you give the photographer / artist credit.
