One of my very favorite restaurants for European food in the city. I liked it so much I came here for my graduation lunch! Pasta portions look small, but I never leave here hungry. Food is delicious, and service is great, attentive, friendly, everything good you could ever say about service staff. Cocktails can be mean - don't drunk (typo, but I'll let it stand) on an empty stomach! The vibe is great - nice wooden accents all throughout make it look like an Italian trattoria even if it's set in a sleek modern hotel. White-tablecloth in the back, more laidback in the front. Great for most any occasion.

I had an awesome brunch at Maialino. The granola and the eggs pepe i cacio were both delicious: they managed to make two simple breakfast dishes way better without making them unrecognizable. Not only the food is perfect, but the service is super friendly and helpful, the decoration is interesting and the place cozy, and the views of Gramercy park are great. The only downside is that their coffee is surprisingly bad: I tried both drip and French press and I'm disappointed. If you're willing to ignore that, this place is best of its class.

Phenomenal food, extensive wine list, great ambiance... One of the best meals I've ever had in NYC. Unanimous favorite was the egg yolk raviolo...

Can be busy but if you don't mind sitting at the bar, the wait usually isn't too long. For Brunch, order the fluffy ricotta pancakes and a side of the smoke pancetta (thick-cut bacon). All their pastas are hand-made, and they offer a special late night menu featuring a delicious burger.

Unparalleled service. Set in the beautiful neighbourhood of Gramercy, you will find great Italian classics executed to perfection. One of my faves in the city. Bonus: you may run in to a bunch of celebs here.

The food and wine at Maialino was delicious, of course, but what really made the difference between my 4 or 5 star rating was the service. I had reserved the table for a birthday celebration and the restaurant staff went above and beyond to ensure it was a memorable occasion. Though it can be a little noisy when the dining room is full, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was great and I look forward to returning to try more of the menu.

Fantastic Roman inspired food, in a hip Gramercy spot. A bit pricey but worth it for a nice night out.
