Played 6-a-side with some mates and stuck a GoPro on my face.

I'm sure you guys will like this!

My friend had her bike stolen because she hadn't used the D lock properly. Only on the rack, not on the bike. It happens. Silly mistake. Someone took advantage. She was absolutely gutted. She was crying. It was a cheap, crap bike... but very sentimental. Despite her anger, she actually did a really great thing. We noticed a Focus Cayo that had a cheap chain lock on the bike itself but wasn't connected to the rack! Someone else had made the same mistake! So she used her D lock on the bike to protect it and left a note with her number explaining the situation.

Ok, get this. It was the thief's bike. Well, we now believe the Focus Cayo was stolen too, but the point is that my friend accidentally trapped the thief by locking up his £1300+ bike without even realising. We got a call later from this guy saying he'd brought her bike back. We went out and there it was, both bikes attached to the rack using his cheap lock. So my friend put her good lock on both too. He called multiple times and was reeeeally weird and creepy. He wanted her to unlock her lock and leave and then he would come and unlock his. He wouldn't accept it the other way round.

My friend just wanted her bike and to know why he had taken it. She said she wouldn't be cross, he just had to come and they'd both get their bikes, but he was weird. Eventually we got the university security (we work in a lab), and they spoke to him on the phone. They said they'd cut his shit lock meaning my friend could cycle home with her bike and they would keep his bike. He'd need to come with ID to get it back, unless he came down in the next 2 minutes. SNIP! At one point he had two bikes, now he has none of them.

I can't stop laughing. She ACCIDENTALLY LOCKED THE THIEF'S OWN BIKE WHILE HE'S CYCLING AWAY ON HER BIKE! I bet he didn't see his evening going like that, with his own property (unless it also turns out to be stolen) physically connected to the victim's property... by mistake!

I do weird things when I'm bored or procrastinating. The HIV-1 virus was the first organism to have its entire genome tweeted. I did that a couple of years ago then followed it up by tweeting even larger genomes. I always wanted to transform a real genome into music. So that's exactly what I've done... #genome #music #science #HIV

I made a tribute video for my favourite player, Raúl. I was bored and playing around with Movie Maker, so it's not fancy but I managed to use clips for all of my favourite memories of watching him play.

Hala Madrid!

I got bored and decided to play around with Movie Maker. I don't think any of the Raúl tributes on Youtube do him justice, so I had a go myself.
