Say It Ain't So, Joe!
Dear
Yogi, I've thought about
you, on and off over the past few years. I’ve wondered how you were. I’d look
up your website and reread your bio because it would make me smile.  Friends always

The service contract is worthless. The technician came to the house, checked the unit, saw some rust on the panel which he declared, of course, that because there's rust, it voids the warranty. I asked him if the rust caused the problem and he said it didn't matter. If there's rust present, warranty is voided. There is always a little rust on anything that has condensation. Additionally the previous homeowner from whom we transferred the contract said that someone has been servicing her unit every 6 months. We found that the filter had not even been changed for 2 years (it had a date on it from last change). It was so clogged and filthy we were not surprised the unit was not working. So IF the lady isn't lying about someone servicing her unit then they have been scamming her all along as well. Your warranty is a scam. I plan on mounting a social media campaign to inform everyone and will contact local media as well to warn everyone what a scam a Sears service contract is and how unscrupulous Sears subcontractors are. It's not really Sears anyway, just some subcontractor paying a licensing fee for the name. You'll be hearing about it soon.

Had a great experience with the purchase, and after 1 week, an even better service experience. I did something stupid, that completely killed the battery overnight and when I tried to get to work in the morning, the car was dead. I called the sales manager, Charlie Jones and he immediately put me in touch with Mike, from service,(forgot last name sorry) who just happened to be on his way to work. He took a detour and personally stopped by my house, jump started my car, gave me a few tips about how to prevent the issue from happening again, (completely my fault, the car is fine) and reassured me that I was not the first person this had happened to. Kudos to the team at Serra. You saved the day! There needs to be more than 5 stars to measure this experience!
