Hi all, not many Sydney Groups, thought I'd say hi to the Nth Syd. I'm an inner Westian interested mainly in multi rotor. I have few coaxial / fixed pitch / multi rotor in my collection. My baby is DJI Phantom V 1, also quite love the little MQX Blade. Blade construction flimsy & cheap needing many parts still fun. The DJI is very very solid no issues to date. Will Power

Just found great video FPV mod using GoPro & Fatshark.

This might be the deal breaker little cheaper than QAV4/500 frame and all electronics. Also phantom looks great. QAV400 frames are in short supply take 15hours to assemble, I read.

Part of me wants to build my own, the other wants fly now. NAZA software no MAC support is crazy. Also the CC3D only has GPS for telemetry.

$1290 AUD/USD estimate - Phantom $600, Fatshark Attitude $360, GoPro3 $330

Interesting insight into the Australian Sex Party.  Is it on the side of sex workers and their rights or is it on the side of a profit making industry?

Looking for the Fatshark filter for battery between tx & battery. World shortage of everything. Pref Australia or Hobbyking. Any ideas.

Have seen a few DIY options to strip high frequency interference.

it arrived about 10days not too bad and better connection than the XT60/JST/Fatshark trio of connectors/cables.

Bob Brown: "Through Australia's long, proud history of environmental activism runs a common thread - it has been led by women and men committed to non-violence. There is no such commitment on the other side. Just read Miranda Devine's advocacy of violence against environmentalists."

How Much Are The Raw Materials For The Olympic Medals Worth?

Many #Olympics  athletes would never sell their medals, so putting a price on them is not possible; however, some have auctioned them off and gotten as much as several hundreds of thousands of dollars. It depends on the athlete and the auction; some have auctioned them off for charity or to pay for medical expenses.

However, in terms of raw materials, a gold medal weighs 400g total, of which 394g is sterling silver, and layered on top with 6 grams of 24 karat gold plating. They have not handed out solid gold medals since 1912.

Though the raw materials fluctuate from day to day, this makes a gold medal worth roughly about $624 in terms of materials. A silver medal is made of 93% silver and 7% copper. It's worth about $330. Bronze medals are worth the least in terms of materials, being made of mostly copper, with small amounts of zinc and tin.

The design of this year's Olympics medals consists of two views:

Front: Nike, the goddess of victory, with Panathinaiko Stadium in the background
Reverse: The River Thames and the London Games logo with angled lines in the background
