Healing Money Issues and Self-worth - As I was riding my bike to my favorite TeaShop this morning I had an epiphany of sorts. I was thinking about my Wiser and Wilder Retreat that’s happening in October. I thought about the wonderful women who have joined and the excitement I’m having in holding the space for transformation, deep sharing and for each women to receive whatever is for her highest good. I know it will happen and it always does. There have also been a few women I’ve talked to w...

Message From Wild Woman - Do you ever feel like your inspiration is being drowned by all that stuff of life? When there are dishes to wash, errands to run, laundry to do, family to cook for, your Wild Woman can get very, very tired.  She hightails it for the forest, bubbling creeks and fresh air.  That silver thread between you and her becomes very thin and you realize you will have to go and find her.  Yesterday was one of those days for me and I knew she would be on the beach. It was one ...

Healing Through Community - “We all chanted together and then as a group holding hands we walked into the ocean at sunrise. The joy of being alive and free was contagious through our joyful screams. Afterward, around the fire the spontaneous sharings affected us all as one woman at a time revealed her deepest fears and stood baring her soul. It was something that could not have been planned or predicted.  It was a result of our group energy and community trust in our women’s circle. Everyon...

Labyrinth, Fire and Transformation - “I’ve been working so hard but still not getting where I want to be!”  I hear this phrase all the time from my clients and it was also was part of my own story. Out in the distance I could see a crystal clear beautiful lake and I just kept walking, and walking toward it and the water seemed to stay so far away.  Yet,  in the meantime I felt fatigued, my back ached and my feet hurt. I felt like sitting down on the ground, having a tantrum and just giving ...

7 Steps to Listening to Your Soul - I noticed something recently that has got me thinking. When out camping in my vanagon I sleep like a rock. We have a wonderful Q bed and parked under trees, by creeks, out in nature, my mind slows down and I sleep for 9 hours straight.  I wake up feeling rested. Back at home, I wake up at 5 AM and can feel my mind full of “stuff!”  This makes me want to move  out of the city and be in nature all the time.   I realize that I need oases of times where I am ...

Moving from Blah to Alignment in 3 Easy Steps - I woke up yesterday morning feeling blah. You probably know that feeling of just not feeling on track, no focus, lack of enthusiasm. I knew I “needed” to focus on my marketing but had no excitement for it and began to question the whole enchilada.  Ugh. I put on my chant music and asked my Wise Woman what to do.  She told me to call Sonia (my mastermind buddy).  It was perfect as Sonia listened and she said she had felt a similar way. I knew I...

3 Tips for Getting Past Obstacles in Growing Your Business - Regardless of how long you’ve been in business and what stage you’re at, there are always those pesky issues that challenge your state of mind, your self worth and your confidence.  For simplicity I use Maiden, Mother and Crone to define three stages of business growth. The Maiden stage is generally during the first few years and is the start-up. A brand new business has innocence and passion, but there is  little or no cash flow ...

3 Questions About Your Doorway - I wandered out in my garden early this morning and welcomed the day.  The flowers were blooming and the abundant plants growing in my small yard made me smile. On the way back into my house my eye went to the wee doggie door and I had an aha moment!  It is way more than a door. It is a beautiful doorway that is warm and inviting. It says, Poppet lives here. Doorways are so important, not just for curb appeal, but they are such an expression of whoever lives ...

The Wisdom of the Crone Entrepreneur - I almost didn’t use the word Crone in my book, “Wiser and Wilder.” Early on in my writing I did a FB post and asked  people what Crone meant to them and I got a barrage of responses. Many women said they hated the word as it brought up feelings of being stern and old, and didn’t want to identify with that.  Others said Crones were evil witches and still others said Crones were the most esteemed elder women who held the ability of true sight – insight a...
