Celestial Storks
A 40-minute exposure of a pair of Jabiru Storks asleep in their nest. This shot was taken in the Pantanal, Brazil. We lined up the tree with the southern celestial axis of rotation and illuminate the birds with a dim lamp.
If you are interested in joining me on a photo tour to the Pantanal in July 2012, find out more here: http://blog.burrard-lucas.com/2011/11/pantanal-madagascar-photo-tours-2012/

These three lion cubs had been left alone while the rest of the pride went hunting. They were lazing around on a mound overlooking the Katisunga floodplain in Katavi National Park. All of a sudden the cubs sat up and stared off into the distance. They had spotted a large male lion walking across the plains. As the male moved behind us, the cubs lined up in this perfect formation... I couldn't have asked for a better pose!

Wildlife photographers v. 12.0

BIG update, but not in the number of new photographers. I've checked each and every photographer on the list to see if he/she is still posting wildlife (own works, wildlife photos, not very long ago and in the last few stream pages). Some people were removed this way, but I still follow most so if you want to get back on the list, just post your works and comment here.

Please reshare.

If you post wildlife photos regularly on G+, please comment here and I'll include you in the next update. Google+ pages are welcome too.

Wildlife Wednesday - Caution: Sharp Curves (Diablo Range Garter Snake

Here's Caution: Sharp Curves (Diablo Range Garter Snake - Thamnophis atratus zaxanthus). I hope you enjoy it.

Remember that every Wednesday is Wildlife Wednesday. Post your pictures of wildlife. Do a search and look at other people's pictures of wildlife. Any wild creature will do. Big or small. From bugs to birds. All you have to do is post a wildlife picture, and mark it with #WildlifeWednesday

I hope to see a lot of your wildlife pictures. Show the wild animals you've encountered!
