To the emotionally overwhelmed.... ❤️

When others are reading Quran with tears streaming down their face and your tears are pouring down for a completely different reason...

When others are praying extra prayers and you're struggling to even pray on time because of your afflictions..

When others are fasting extra fasts and you're struggling to eat less or more because of your depression...

Remember: Taking care of yourself is an act of worship. Doing what you can, in your circumstances, that is an act of worship.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us,

"Indeed, actions are by intention."

[Bukhari]

Be mindful; that you're eating when others are fasting extra to have the strength to get through your day- that's an act of worship.

That while others are reading chapters upon chapters of the Quran, your one verse in translation is all you can muster right now, and Allah willing, it'll be the page that will be a witness for you on the Day of Judgment- make that intention.

That for another, offering prayers on time and then extra may be easy, but for you, each and every prayer on time is your personal struggle, and you ask Allah to accept it as if you'd been in a state of prayer throughout the day or night even if it's only two Rakahs.

Don't underestimate the mercy of Allah, nor belittle His generosity.

In your struggle, what you see as something unworthy is deeply acknowledged by Al-Shakoor, The Appreciative.

O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back [from fighting in Allah's cause] and [thus] become losers." (Surah Al-Maidah, 5:21)

Narrated Aisha: I said, "O Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him)! I have two neighbors; which of them should I give a gift to?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "(Give) to the one whose door is nearer to you." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 3, Book 51, Hadith 29)

Imagine for a moment... You are ill and there's medicine in front of you. That medicine will cure your illness and make you feel better but you don't take it. Silly right?

Now reflect on this Ayah - 'And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss' (Quran 17:82)

Sometimes we all feel lost in life. Yet Allah has given us the Quran. And He has said it's for our healing. Yet we still don't read it.

The medicine is there and yet we're still not taking it... It's been there for 1400 years and we're still not reading it as much as we should...

Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said 'Giving charity does not decrease wealth' (Muslim) If we all truly understood this Hadith we would realise that Allah blesses us even more when we give to good causes. That our blessings and wealth actually increase when we give.

Can't remember so many duas? Here's what you can do :)

Let's make this beautiful dua together and say "AMEEN"

Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made many supplications which we did not memorize. We said to him: “O Messenger of Allah! You have made many supplications of which we do not remember anything.” He said, “Shall I tell you a comprehensive prayer?

“(O Allah, I beg to You the good which Your Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) begged of You; and I seek refuge in You from the evil where from Your Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) sought refuge. You are the One from Whom help is sought and Your is the responsibility to communicate (the truth). There is no power or strength except with Allah the Exalted, the Great.”‘
