#GetHealthyHappy - All my cats get regular preventive health care and I recommend to all my veterinary clients for their pets as well. Preventive health care just makes sense. Your pet will live longer and be healthier. Who doesn't want that for their furry friend?

This veterinarian makes sense in saying that a preventive health care program for a three-pound Chihuahua should be a little different than one for a 180-pound Great Dane.

Some media outlets recently reported what sounded like a new pet food recall. This recall turned out to be unsubstantiated and was actually a "republication" of news which occurred almost one year ago, which went unsaid in all of these reports. What these outlets reported as "new" was actually very much "old" news but these reports managed to scare pet owners. This type of reporting is, IMO, totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Media outlets need to check their sources BEFORE reporting news. That used to be the rule; there's just no excuse for this type of sloppy lazy reporting.
