I am already tired of this increasing focus on Mindfulness as the solution to all things leadership. Geeze, didn't we go through all that in the 70s with EST and TA and Gurus from India and Scientology, even?

Mindfulness? Well show me it works:

I am totally frustrated with the lack of any improvement on the themes of engagement. As a single bullet point, this one stands out:

- 1 of 3 US workers would forego a raise to see their boss fired.

Seriously, how bad ARE things. So, I am pushing on the idea of Disruptive Engagement, something done outside of any controls of HR or T&D and focused on doing things IN THE WORKPLACE between supervisors and workers that have immediate positive impacts.

Your thoughts?

We got our a press release announcing our 25 year run with Lost Dutchman. We've had such positively great global reactions to the exercise and I am hard-focused on an anniversary update using our Square Wheels® themes and having a more polished set of Debriefing materials.

I read a book review on Radical Candor and it got me to write about some of my ideas around Disruptive Engagement, the reality that we need to simply START INVOLVING PEOPLE IN THE WORKPLACE instead of talking about it and working things down from organizational somewheres...

So, here is a new blog:

Well. It IS another year, and an interesting one for a fan like me.

The Tar Heels did not make a field goal in the final 5:53 and somehow won it. Their final SIX points were all free throws from a stretch when they went just 6-for-13, including a missed front end of a one-and-one with 5 seconds to go.

BUT, they hung in and did what they needed to do to win the game. It is an interesting year of college basketball. One more game...

SO glad to see HIcks have a great game last night. He deserves the recognition. It is so great when he appears in the game and plays up to his abilities. We want MORE!

Awesome article about the 51-point beatdown of a really good NC State team today. Adam is a GREAT writer and this is a great example of his writing skills.

Remember that today is yesterday tomorrow and that you should have done some things more better faster. Start doing some things differently and see if improvements don't result.
