I'm not sure how many times I've been here since January, my bosses often default to coming here for lunch because they seem to love it. Solid place but with each visit I have come to dislike it a bit more and more. I think I'm at the point where if they decide to go there anytime soon... I might actually decline a free lunch. Again, solid place, not the best BBQ in Chicago nor do I think anything is going to make you say WOW! but I haven't had any issues with food quality or service. Worth a try if you have never been. I must echo the issue over the crotch lint. Don't put the cloth napkin on your lap unless you're some sort of gymnastics instructor decked out in an Adidas nylon track suit.

Last evening, we had the most magnificent meal and dining experience with a dear friend in Bucktown at Lillie's Q. I am embarrassed to say that we are typical 5 star diners but we diverted from our typical haunts because we had heard about Lillie's Q's recent award in the shoulder competition at the world championship of BBQ - Memphis in May a couple weeks ago. This is a 5 star with a different flair. The food was amazing ( still getting used to the collard greens). The attention to detail ( i.e. how the oysters were served) and the knowledge of the staff with regard to the assortment of sauces was beyond impressive. The salad was so fresh, the avocado was perfect and the black eyed peas were the perfect touch. The hushpuppies and grits were better than I have ever had anywhere the pulled pork and chicken with the recommended Lillie's Q sauces were beyond exceptional. I never knew BBQ could be so good. As I prepare for next time, I need to learn a bit more about "moonshine". Very fun atmosphere, terrific night catch up with a good friend, prices so reasonable. Wish we had a Lillie's Q near me.

Good service and atmosphere. Had fried pickles to start, light crispy batter stands out. Went with the 3 meat sampler, tri-tip was the best choice, definitely recommended, ribs were only OK, not very meaty. Sides of corn bread and collard greens were excellent.

This is real BBQ place with an awesome industrial atmosphere. The wait staff was super knowledgeable and the food was stellar. My friend and I were able to try four items including the fried pickles, mac & cheese, pulled pork and beef. All were out of this world. I think may favorite part was the selection of sauces at each table, there were over 7 to chose from making sure your taste buds got what they paid for. I didn't care for every sauce, but that's not to say other patrons don't love them. If you are a vinegar-based sauce fan, then this is your spot! Expect that sweet tang and bite from the sauce with every clasp of your jaw. I also like how the sink is outside the bathroom so you can spot when people don't wash their hands. Hilarious accountability...

Let me preface. I'm from Texas, I was grown on BBQ. This is not real BBQ. Service was great, cool atmosphere, prices weren't ridiculous. But the Q was bad. No flavor, undercooked, and the sauce selection was pretty bland. This could all be my own fault for getting BBQ in Chicago.

Lillie's Q is the first place I ever went on a date with my current boyfriend and now it's our annual tradition to return for our anniversary. Not only is it sentimental for us, it's also delish and we love to polish off ribs together. We usually get one of the three meat combos-- mostly recently with pulled chicken, brisket and ribs-- with cornbread, mac and cheese and something green. The only thing I don't love there is the collard greens, could be better, but otherwise anything on the menu is delicious. We also love the moonshine cocktails, the arnold palmer one is my favorite.
