Bob Chinn's has been an institution since 1982 in Wheeling, IL.  For over 30 years we have served some of the Freshest Seafood from around the globe- Alaska, Hawaii, New Zealand- just to name a few.  Specializing in seafood, we're also known for our wet-aged prime steaks that are comparable to some of the best steakhouses.  Starting off as a restaurant that only seated 200, expanded to over 700 seats in just 5 years.  Come inside and judge for yourself on the quality and freshness of the finest food you will ever taste, served by our friendly & enthusiastic staff.

This is my place to get grouper. Sometimes I'll grab a few friends and come here for the gumbo, blue crab legs, rolls, etc. (appetizer food). I feel they are a bit pricey and use too much garlic, but it is a very good seafood place.

Right now they have a special that adds a 1lb lobster to any entree for $11, I mean cmon! It was so good. I got fresh scallops that were flown in that same day. They were amazing, had garlic rolls, crab soup, got potatoes and still had a bunch to take home. This place is so good that you just need to go eat there. Now.

Being from CT, I don't get to Bob Chinn's often. Tonight was my second visit and it's as good as I remember from my first time in '07. Mai Tais are memorable. The steaks are fantastic, cooked exactly as ordered and have great taste. The seafood is as good or better than I can get locally at home, and I live and work right on the CT shoreline. It's not cheap, but it's worth the price. There are less expensive selections on the menu, you don't need to break the bank for a great meal.

Things you should do here. Split a whole king crab with friends. It's awesome and economical. Try the prime rib at least once. Check out the Nigerian prawns.

Extremely Overpriced. The seafood seemed fresh enough but had no flavor. No sides or salad with the entrees which the cheapest option was $30. The decor was dingy and everything wreaked of fish. The waitress was less than pleasant. I walked out spending $80 on two plates of bland seafood over top spaghetti noodles. Whole experience was a boring disappointment that left me broke. There is lots of other great restaurants in this area. Save you money and get something good!

Best sea food I've had! Plus the mai tai drinks are so good. My family and I drive from Ohio at least once a year to eat here. We were just there in June. The service and food are both wonderful. It is pricey depending on what you order but it's always worth it.
