The chakras are the sites where we receive, absorb and distribute life energies from the biofield.  They influence a person’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual functions.  The chakras become compromised - either to little or too much energy - through disease, physical injury, or internally through repeated emotion and self limiting beliefs. When our energy system is depleted, we feel tired and it is difficult for our immune system to function. Stress also causes congested energy in our system.  Think of times when you have been stressed and how it affects your body. Pain is congested energy. heart-chakra-balancing

This workshop will provide techniques to keep your own energy body healthy. When your field is in balance, you are able to be more present for others without their experiences affecting you physically. Though there are many ways to balance the electromagnetic field including crystals, essential oils and practices such as acupuncture or Qigong, we will work with gentle yoga postures, meditation, mantra, and energy therapy self care tools.  Learn how the chakras influence the systems of the body, how to assess your own chakras, and how to clear and balance them.  No yoga experience required and a healthy dose of skepticism welcome! THERAPEUTIC

Investment: $20 drop in. Students with Class Passes may use  2 Yoga Class Pass points OR $10 with a Month Unlimited Yoga Class Pass

About your Teacher: Megan MacCarthy, E-RTY, HTCP, enjoyed the physical and mental aspects of yoga for over 20 years before curiosity laced with skepticism lead her into the field of energy therapy.  In 2013, Megan completed a 2 1/2 year energy medicine certification with the Healing Touch Program.  As a yoga teacher and Healing Touch practitioner, she finds that the most powerful way to enhance your health and advance your yoga practice is by combining the physical, mental and subtle body aspects of yoga.
