We would like express our sincerest gratitude to Luis Rodriguez and the team of Pink Ribbons & Blessings for their years of continued care and compassion to breast cancer patients, as well as their ongoing support of Cancer Research Collaboration. Pink Ribbons and Blessings was a boutique designed specifically for breast cancer patients and survivors. Although the shop has recently closed, the impact that was made with continuous contribution toward cancer research will live on.
Pink Ribbons & Blessings was founded by Roxanne Rodriguez, who passed away in 2015 after a long battle with breast cancer. Initially diagnosed in 2010, Roxanne never lost hope during her five-year journey through three breast cancer diagnoses. During this time, she showed strength and commitment to breast cancer awareness as a volunteer at Breastlink and Hoag Breast Center.
We were honored to present our first ever Spirit Award to Roxanne at our 2nd annual CRC Golf tournament to raise money for cancer research. Unfortunately, Roxanne passed away before this could happen and her husband Luis, and some family members were there to receive the award.
Roxanne was a tireless advocate for cancer research and for the hopes of a future without breast cancer. She donated a percentage of the proceeds from her boutique to the CRC and her family continued to support the research efforts for many years after.
Although her journey has ended, Roxanne’s memory lived on at Pink Ribbons & Blessings and in the hearts of so many she touched. Thank you to Luis, Roxanne, and the Pink Ribbons & Blessings family for all you have done.

#ClinicalTrialsDay

To all the patients who participate in Clinical Trials, their contribution to moving research forward and develop new technologies and treatments is enormous.
To all the doctors who work as investigators and the research and clinic staff who help facilitate, we are forever grateful.
Without research there will be no cure!

#GivingTuesday

Celebrate this global day of giving by making a contribution to the Cancer Research Collaboration.

The Cancer Research Collaboration (CRC) was created with a single goal – to help patients beat cancer. We have worked tirelessly to bring state-of-the-art clinical trials to patients and to provide investigators with the tools to research the cause of cancer and to find a cure.Your contribution will help facilitate and foster innovation and innovative strategies by working with partners who are similarly committed to finding new and better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.

The Cancer Research Collaboration works with doctors, nurses, and researchers across southern California, developing tools to battle cancer and extend the lives of men and women. Clinical research is an essential part of that mission. It’s the process in which new technologies, new medicine, and new treatments are tested and transformed into cures. To understand its impact, we spoke with Dr. Schlomit Ein-Gal, to get an insider’s view of clinical research and its benefits.
