Via +Aaron Bradley, a review of Bob DuCharme's "Learning SPARQL".

I saw this book newly stocked in O'Reilly's foyer as I went to work on Friday, and it made me happy for reasons personal as well as technical.

I worked with +Bob DuCharme for many years when I edited XML.com, and he's an excellent author and presenter.

Secondly, this is heartwarming because one of my dearest friends +Dave Beckett has devoted years of his life to implementing and furthering SPARQL and other semweb technologies in W3C work and with his Redland toolkit.

With SPARQL, the semantic web has its SQL, and is definitely the richer for it. And with the publication of Bob's book, all the more so.
