Great to see an R&D project of ours at +Silicon Valley Data Science reach public release. This is an exciting app, where we're using data science to provide a better informational experience to riders on Caltrain. Over time it will get better as we build in predictions based on data from sensors, social media and users of the app themselves.

From +Julie Steele, a great report about the emerging role of the chief data officer. Do you need one? How should you hire one?

I'm loving that we're generating such great content at +Silicon Valley Data Science
