The Rowe Veterinary Group was founded in 1948 by Mr John Rowe. We now have four veterinary practices, three are in North Bristol with easy access from many areas of Bristol at Yate, Thornbury and a 24 hour hospital in Bradley Stoke. There is also a veterinary surgery and MRI facility at Wotton-under-Edge. As well as providing a high quality first opinion practice for dogs, cats, small furries, birds and exotic animals, we are home to a referral service, Rowe Referrals. We are always there to take care of your pet, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A big thank you to Mark Owen for fixing up Rocky's foot. I have been using Rowes for over 30yrs and love the fact that they have the specialists we need within the group so there is always continuity.. We had to come to Bradley Stoke Hospital for Surgery on my little Jack Russell's foot. Mark has done a dantastic job with a plate and screws and you would never know now, she is coming on great guns..! A big thank you to all the lovely nurses there and the all important night staff.. When my dog had to stay over they let me phone up last thing at night to see how she was and then they phoned me with an update in the morning. Just fantastic service and people..!😎 😎

The whole Team could not be more helpful, especially Henry in the beginning when our Lab was starting to become more poorly. But at times the receptionists do not have a clue about the Insurance and how to go about it. I would suggest they just ask customers to ring Jill at Thornbury Practice and she will help with every query on Insurance claims. Lovely lady to deal with. Julie has now taken over our Lab's care when he was diagnosed with diabetes and always rings me with results and seems to have time to talk over any queries. I would recommend this Vet practice again.

Henry, Pippa and team have been wonderful. Henry calling with test results and operating and Pippa and the team answering my numerous calls and seeing our hound at short notice several times as she hit a few problems.

Money driven. Will over charge you, add the bill up wrong to their advantage, be useless and incompetent at the till show little interest in your animal. I moved to vets for pets in bishopston, gloucester road and what a difference. They really care are very well priced and you dont leave in a bad mood.

I have been overwhelmed with the expertise, caring brilliant team of vets nurses and reception team . And a massive thank you to, Irenie and all involved for preforming an emergency ovariohysterectomy on our dog lily, we are not out of the woods yet as are waiting on some results, however lily is back at home were she is recovering, things could of been very different if it wasn't for your amazing efforts, kind regards and Hugh thank you's to all the team at Rowe, lily is a big part of our lives, Donna and Brendon

Overall they are more concerned about charging very high prices and giving poor service standards. Receptionists can be off, waiting times, even when appointment booked, are up to an hour! We queried why we had to pay £75 for a drip to be put in dogs arm by a NON qualified assistant, and just told that these are their prices even for assistant receptionist help. When we had to re-enter our dog after he was released by them, the exact same day, they charged us new fees for getting him back in!!! It was their fault as he shouldn't have come home! Incorrect dietary advice was given, we could go on... Night time Vet we could hardly understand as her English was so poor, the last thing you need when you are upset and worried about your animal and you need to know what’s going on. We would rather travel the extra miles and go to the Langford animal hospital than give this money grabbing firm any more of ours or our beloved animals to their care. The service, the treatment you get and the overall feeling of distrust you have from dealing with this hospital leaves a bad taste in your mouth and huge concerns about what they are doing to your animal behind the closed doors…

I toke my cat to this vet and they charged me £270 for blood test + £250 for overnight care. It has been a week and the vet hasn't had the courtesy to contact me as yet. I expected to have my cat's blood result within 24 hours plus a diagnostic, but I am still on the waiting list. Very poor service - don't bother taking your little ones there. They only care about the money.

I take my three legged pooch to Rowe Vets, and have never had a problem. They have been nothing but totally lovely with my dog. He's incredibly nervous with people and animals, and they've been so understanding with him. He has allergies a lot of the time, so he's in and out often, and I've got to say, he loves going there. He lies down and goes to sleep! He's so relaxed, and they are always so helpful with me. I'd recommend them to anyone, anytime! I'm moving, so sad to see the back of them.
