A few more reasons why NYC is the greatest city in the world. And there's my office as the good ol' Daily Bugle. Hoo-rah!

Word. This presentation ought to be viewed in any marketing class. There are so many lessons in pitching and presentation to be taken from it that remain relevant to up-coming marketers four years later.

"Many will point to Steve’s 2005 Stanford commencement speech as his greatest ever. I won’t argue with that.

But his greatest presentation on Apple’s behalf was in January, 2007, when he unveiled the iPhone for the first time. It highlights everything that made Steve the best pitchman: Vision, humor, poise, comedic timing, and especially the way he spoke to his audience — like a normal guy in love with life, not like a corny executive."

Yes! More steampunk (and genre fiction in general) set in non-Western/Western-like worlds and time periods, please.

I will say, I kinda love ugly or quirky houses. An odd house is not a blank canvas. It’s better than that. It’s a canvas that practically BEGS to be worked on. Downside: odd houses can have big personalities (not unlike creative types). So it’s a challenge to work with them, but often rewarding. So when I saw this house in Idaho….wait. This actually gives me a good idea for a blog post. Okay for now just look at this ugly house. Isn’t it wonderful! ♥

How is October so busy already? Two days ago I had no plans. Suddenly it's a party. Don't get me wrong. It'll be fun, but I may sleep through November.

Got a little cooked at the Heel to Heal walk despite the sunscreen I put on this morning and possibly from writing outside on the deck, but it was a great day. I am so glad that it didn't rain. For those who either couldn't make it or don't know about the Embrace Kids Foundation, take some time to check out their website and consider other ways of supporting or being involved. Embrace Kids is a wonderful organization that helps children that have been diagnosed with cancer or a blood disorder and their families.
