Love this place. One of the best history centers in the South. Buy a membership and go a bunch of times... You'll need time to see everything. They also have historical buildings on the property such as the Swan House and Tulie Farm. Admission is a little steep, but check online for special days/times when it's half-off or free.

We have been several times for homeschool day. They always have great activities. Their staff are very knowledgeable. Their farm and the Swan House are interesting and beautiful. Great place to visit.

Great exhibits about the history of Atlanta. The 1996 Olympic exhibit was top notch. Civil war, Indians, and development of Atlanta exhibits. Antebellum farm house, civil war re-enactors, & farm outside.

The museum is located in one of the many old historic mills on the riverfront. This is such a fun museum too, great place for kids as well. This is one of the coolest museums I've ever been to.
