I will stop posting on G+

Google has enough data from me already

Has been great fun

Thanks all
Sometimes you’re so deeply invested in a project that even when it’s just not working you can’t stop fiddling, telling yourself: "If I just change this one thing maybe it’ll all be fine." So seems...

+Danny ter Haar I really don't mind ads, provided they are "on topic." The Internet wouldn't exist were it not for the ads and people need to get paid one way or another. This way they get paid and I don't have to see ads for things I'd never consider buying.

Birds of a feather flock together to confuse potential predators
Scientists from the Universities of Bristol and Groningen, in The Netherlands, have created a computer game style experiment which sheds new light on the reasons why starlings flock in massive swirling groups over wintering grounds.

Climate change to shift global pattern of mild weather - As scientists work to predict how climate change may affect hurricanes, droughts, floods, blizzards and other severe weather, there's one area that's been overlooked: mild weather. But no more.

How far will Republicans go to appease their paymasters in the fossil fuel industry? Farther than you think. Wyoming has ENORMOUS potential for Wind Power, but also large reserves of coal. But today, Wyoming Republicans have proposed a BAN on renewable energy in Wyoming. This is on top of TAXES already applied to existing renewable energy in the state. The worst case scenario for Global Warming is definitely on the table - heat waves in the 130Fs.
"I haven't seen anything like this before. This is essentially a reverse renewable energy standard."

Obama commutes Chelsea Manning's sentence

President Barack Obama on Tuesday commuted the sentence of Chelsea Manning, who was convicted of stealing and disseminating 750,000 pages of documents and videos to WikiLeaks.

I'm stunned. And approve.

Thank you, Mr. Obama.

Congratulations, Ms. Manning, and thank you as well.

I'd been meaning to post a suggestion for three actions Obama might still take over the next two days, including pardoning Manning.

I also request a clemency for Edward Snowden.

And would very much like to see a recess appointment to the US Supreme Court.

Meanwhile the new #clotus (clown of ..) wants to take the US back to coal.
How ridiculous!
China has suspended 85 planned coal power plants in a bid to meet a government coal capacity target laid out in its latest plan for social and economic development. The National Energy Administration (NEA) announced the under-construction projects would no longer go ahead as part of measures outlined in its Five Year Plan, Greenpeace reports.
