Came for happy hour and will definitely return for dinner. Crab cake was amazing, steaks were flavorful and Leslie was warm and personable. Only down side was the parking but such is the way of downtown Austin.

The Staff was excellent and the food was even better. I would definitely return and refer people as well. The staff made it special being, it was My Wife and I's anniversary . The steak was the best I ever had!!!! AWESOME experience!!

Unfortunately, somewhat a disappointment. First the good. The service is first class. And the atmosphere is upscale and suitable for a range of occasions. The wine list is very nice. And the starters were all very tasty. The bad. The meat is merely adequate and vastly overpriced for the quality served. Here is the problem. A superior cut of beef is well marbled and tender naturally by the well distributed fat striations. If you have a more pedestrian cut of meat, this can be compensated for by brining the meat. And that was the cut served here -- it was heavily brined. To the point that the salt content was objectionable. So I paid $85 for a cut that was distastefully salty and even then only average in tenderness. Considering the whole reason for being a steakhouse is to serve superior meat, it was a disappointment.

Timothy, while we certainly do season our meats liberally, we're proud of the meat we serve and firmly stand behind the quality of our USDA prime beef.. We have never brined a piece of beef in our restaurant. Of course, sometimes there are issues with a dish, and in those cases we're, without a doubt, ready to make things right -- I'm sorry that we didn't have a chance to do that for you, but if you ever return, I'm certain we can show you our best. -Laura Brown, Co-Owner

My friends and I decided to try this place out Friday Night, reservations at in advance. The Valet access is on San Jacinto, at the 3rd St Intersection. We arrived early and we were also seated ahead of our reservation time. Very nice interior, dark and personal feel. We ordered the Quail, Crab Cake and Pot Belly for our appetizers. Both the Quail and Pot Belly came in four individual portions, and since we were four, that allowed us to share equally so that we could each have a taste. The Crab Cake was one piece, but large enough for each of use to have a bite. All three appetizers were fantastic. I've never had Quail before and their fried offering was superb. The Pork Belly with spiced chutney jam is a melt in your mouth classic. The Crab Cake was also good, on par wirh other Restaurants we've been to, like Eddie V's in N.Austin or Landry's in Corpus. Main courses were different for each of us, all steaks. I ordered "The Perfect 10", cooked to Medium. It was absolutely phenomenal. It's a beautifully grilled Ribeye, big enough to make you work to finish the whole thing. We also split amongst us four sides. Those were the Corn and Bacon, Potatoes Au Gratin, Asparagus and Bacon Mac & Cheese. The least favorite out of the quartet was the Asparagus, not to say we didn't like it, but the other three were a step above. Desserts were the Cheese Cake, Chocolate and Cheery Brownie as well as the Sorbet. While we did have a taste of each, I ordered the Sorbet. Each were very good, if even judged by a single taste, but I enjoyed every spoonful of the Sorbet. All in all, it was an expensive night, $400 neighborhood. We were celebrating two Birthdays, a promotion as well as an appreciation of great friendship. We don't do this very often, and since this was the first time ever coming here for three of us, it was money well spent.

We arrived in Austin for an event and had no idea where to eat, Eddie V's had a long wait and we were starving...the next available steakhouse and close to the Hilton in downtown Austin was Vince Young Steakhouse and boy were we in for a treat! The staff was phenomenal the first night! We ordered a 8oz filet (medium rare) which was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. My counterpart ordered the salmon which was superb! We also had the bacon mac n' cheese as a side. I had a foodgasm, I honestly didn't know that was possible! It was fantastic! The food was so good the first night, we decided to head back the next night for dinner. We sat at the bar for the happy hour specials and to our surprise, the food was priced way below what we expected! We order the calamari, lobster rolls, steak frites, and burger. Everything was absolutely amazing, a total different culinary experience than the night before, but equally as delicous. The two bartenders Carrie and Leslie were superb. Their service was super friendly, very prompt, and extremely friendly. The manager came out and spoke to us, and we complimented him on the food and service. I recommend to EVERYONE who visits Austin to go to Vince Young Steakhouse. I guarantee you won't have a bad experience. I wish they were open on Sundays because I would eat there a third night in a row! This experience was so amazing, we RAVED to the concierge at the Hilton to send all their guests there. Such an amazing restaurant with incredible food! Thanks guys!

I've never reviewed a restaurant - ever. But for the goals this restaurant puts out there I had high hopes and so I was very disappointed with my experience....the steak - excellent, however, the accompaniments were extremely salty. the service - poor. the hostess staff needs to be retrained. The salad under seasoned. Overall - underwhelming.
