I kid y'all not, the first night my gf and I stayed in a room, the tv was possessed. It wouldnt change the channel and it would cut off by itself. One of the managers moved us to another room everything was good,.... at least so I thought. I was in the middle of dinner when a Roach the size of a nickle came from an imaginary hole in the wall and stared my food down like it was theirs. They don't check fridges or refrigerator's because someone left a shrimp scampi box dinner in the fridge. Check out time is 11:30 and they don't do late check out. Someone knocked on our door early because they were ready to clean the rooms. You would've thought you we're staying at the Sheraton, or Hilton. Just know you get what you pay for.

Horrible customer service. Room was not ready at check in at 6pm because the maid was living in the room. I waited over 1.5 hours for the hotel to evict the maid and clean the room. Once in the room, the person that cleaned my room stated that had run out of pillowcases, so I slept with my tshirt around my pillow. The desk would not refund my money, offer me a discount, or do anything but insincerely apologize. It was an all together awful experience.

I called over the phone to book a hotel for a friday night in july. The person at the desk said it would be $90 in which i agreed to pay. I gave her my credit card information and booked it. I drove three hours to find out that the employee messed up and it was actually $150 since the lady accidentally gave me the weekday rate. This motel is run down and not worth $60 let alone $150. I was willing to do $90 because it was summer in myrtle. I argued with the lady that we had already agreed to $90 and I wanted her to fix this as i drove 3 hours. I wouldn't have come if i knew it was that much. She said she could either take it out of the employees paycheck or reimburse me. All the hotels were booked so this wasn't an option. I told her we already agreed to $90 and paid for it on my credit card and she should stand by her word. She then said the lady who messed up was a single mother and if i wanted to take out the difference out of her check i could. i called her bluff and said yes and she still refused to do it. I have an app on my phone that records all my conversations and told her she needs to listen to what was said over the phone, but she refused. I disputed it with the credit card company and they said they can't use recordings to dispute charges so they won the fight. I told them i wanted to be reimbursed or i'm going to write on the travel sites about the poor customer service and shady practices they use and how they mistreat their workers. For $60 they refused to budge as they obviously are desperate for money and are running a corrupt business (they actually ended up with $30 after the dispute charge by the credit card company). I don't wish bad on anyone, but i honestly hope these owners go out of business. They are horrible people and I hope no one else goes through what I did. Its poorly maintained and bottom barrel. Stay away!!!!!!

The staff is very nice and helpful. our room wasn't five star but still clean and all we needed for a nice get away. we enjoyed our stay and plan on going back

BUGS BUGS BUGS!!! Every night we arrived back to our room there was bugs/cockroaches climbing around all over. This place is the worst! No up keep on anything. Paint chipping and falling off, cracks and separation in every wall and corner, bathroom was disgusting, seals on the doors needed to be replaced 10 years ago. Black mold on the once white now yellow shower curtain and lamp shades. Our entrance door to our room looked as if the DEA had once knocked it in, guessing that isn't far from the truth. There was dirt and filth everywhere. Luckily we brought extra blankets, there was no way I was going to get under their covers and sleep on that mattress after seeing the whole place. Did I mention the cord to our room phone was cut and just laying on the floor, SKETCHY!!! Pay up the extra cash and enjoy your stay somewhere else.

This place has bugs. Just about every night that we stayed we killed one, and staff did absolutely nothing about it. They said that they weren't roaches but that's exactly what they looked like (regardless, youd think they wouldn't want any bugs in their establishment). None of them were smaller than an inch. We were pretty freaked out and ready to pack our stuff half way through our vacation. The place is nasty on top of it. The room stunk and after the first bug we lifted everything (dresser bed nightstand) just to find more filth. Its just a gross place we avoided our room at all cost. Showering there was the worst. The staff was great Donna in particular made me feel very welcomed, however the man that they have at the front desk is a prick. He's the one who I told about the bugs and he pretty much brushed me off about it. I promise if you want to have a good time in myrtle beach don't stay here..

Visited Motel April 2014 After reading all the negative reviews I decided I was going to try Happy Holiday Motel out.I would recommend this Motel to anyone looking to vacation. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and I was greeted with a smile by the staff androom service. I will definitely be coming back to Happy Holiday Motel. My daughter and I had a blast. Everything is close and the beach is right across the street. The parking lot is not crowded, I had no trouble parking at all. Never judge by someone else opinion, try it out for yourself.
