We are a registered Non-Profit organization that was created in 1993 to help low-income families with the costs of spaying/neutering their pets.
In 2009, we decided to expand to fostering homeless animals. We do not have a shelter (although, we wouldn't object to donations to build one ;). Currently we only have a few volunteers that are able to take 1-2 pets into their own homes at a time to care for until a loving fur-ever home can be found. Most of the animals we take in are from the County Shelter. We also cross-post/network to help find owners of lost pets or new homes for abandoned pets.
In April of 2011, an EF4 tornado destroyed much of our hometown, Ringgold GA. We saw a HUGE response for helping the humans that were effected, but not much was being done for their pets. CCAC promptly started accepting donations of pet food, flea/tick medicines, collars & leashes, dog houses, fencing materials, pet bedding, etc. We set up at K-9 Tub Time in the heart of Ringgold to pass out items to those in need. We also filled up our personal vehicles and drove through the hardest-hit areas looking for people that needed our help. We could not have helped so many during that time without the help from our wonderful donors and volunteers!!
CCAC is 18 years old and stronger than ever! Thanks to our fantastic volunteers, we continue to grow. We could not do it without each and every single one of you all. THANK YOU!! :)
