ORDER QUENELLE as an appetizer as it is on the endangered species list. I love the duck. Dale the frogs legs. We have places we prefer to be seated and it makes a difference to the experience. No matter, service is great and the approach "old fashioned"........and, of course, the place is gorgeous.

We had a great experience at La Grenouille the weekend before the Hurricane started. I do not understand why the do not have a few Michelin stars. (They are so much better than Jean Georges). We were great ed and seated promptly. The decor is lovely especially the spectacular floral displays. We had the tasting menu - reasonably priced.. The amuse bouch was a taste of pea soup and perfelty made cheese puffs. We had the frois grois served with small rounds balls of granny smith apples and bits of walnuts - perfect combination of flavors. I had quennelles served topped with a generous dose of caviar and a lovely sauce. Dessert was a gran manier souffle and my husband had the chocolate... My son had the tournedos cooked perfectly medium rare. The service was very attentive and flowed smoothly throughout the meal . A bottle of Chateau Pontet Canetti 1998 accompanied the meal.. really fabulous. We would go back in a heartbeat.

This was a favorite spot of my best friend mom and I remember when visiting her we would end up here more than often. Now that I'm a vegetarian it doesn't come to mind but the last time I ate here the chef was quite accommodating. The atmosphere is formal. Definitely a place that is more my parents. But amazingly good.

An exquisite experience. The dining room is rich and ornate; so many old-fashioned details. Service is extremely attentive. Authentic French cuisine through and through. Dishes are classically prepared and appropriately portioned. Wine is fantastic. An indulgent treat.

Great place to take a date or your family for a big celebration. You need to make sure you are with the appropiate dressing code since its a restaurant that requires men to be with jacket or blazer.

Warning this is not a restaurant this is a journey! It's an experience. There's no place I can compare it to. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Charles Masson. This is one of the finest restaurants where presidents and CEO's come to dine. The food is breathtaking and the decor is like being transported to France. The food, the food omg the food leaves you in awe every time a new plate comes. The service is exquisite they make sure you enjoy every minute of it. Follow their recommendation and you won't be disappointed. Also, try the frog less trust me! amazing! and to finish order their vanilla bean ice cream 100% organic.
