ORDER QUENELLE as an appetizer as it is on the endangered species list. I love the duck. Dale the frogs legs. We have places we prefer to be seated and it makes a difference to the experience. No matter, service is great and the approach "old fashioned"........and, of course, the place is gorgeous.

Great ambience, great food. It goes beyond saying. The problem was the service. It wss so great that it started to become annoying. There was always someone standing by you to check if you are taken care of. Probably a French thing but it robbed me of my privacy.

We had a great experience at La Grenouille the weekend before the Hurricane started. I do not understand why the do not have a few Michelin stars. (They are so much better than Jean Georges). We were great ed and seated promptly. The decor is lovely especially the spectacular floral displays. We had the tasting menu - reasonably priced.. The amuse bouch was a taste of pea soup and perfelty made cheese puffs. We had the frois grois served with small rounds balls of granny smith apples and bits of walnuts - perfect combination of flavors. I had quennelles served topped with a generous dose of caviar and a lovely sauce. Dessert was a gran manier souffle and my husband had the chocolate... My son had the tournedos cooked perfectly medium rare. The service was very attentive and flowed smoothly throughout the meal . A bottle of Chateau Pontet Canetti 1998 accompanied the meal.. really fabulous. We would go back in a heartbeat.

This was a favorite spot of my best friend mom and I remember when visiting her we would end up here more than often. Now that I'm a vegetarian it doesn't come to mind but the last time I ate here the chef was quite accommodating. The atmosphere is formal. Definitely a place that is more my parents. But amazingly good.

WOW! We celebrated a special birthday here over the weekend. The restaurant was incredible! The flowers were stunning and the overall décor was perfection. At first, we felt a little rushed and overwhelmed by the menu; however, the staff was friendly (yet professional) and recommended some delicious choices! I ordered from the prix fixe theatre menu. The scallops were amazing! Everyone enjoyed their meals and the accommodating service. Thank you so much for making my mothers special birthday so memorable!

An exquisite experience. The dining room is rich and ornate; so many old-fashioned details. Service is extremely attentive. Authentic French cuisine through and through. Dishes are classically prepared and appropriately portioned. Wine is fantastic. An indulgent treat.

Great place to take a date or your family for a big celebration. You need to make sure you are with the appropiate dressing code since its a restaurant that requires men to be with jacket or blazer.

Some things never change—La Grenoille is one of them. So much the better, although a few of the classic dishes could probably use a whiff of innovation. A gorgeous reminder of what the best of New York was like in the 'sixties
