Cozy, old-school pub serving Irish & updated bar food originally stood in Ireland then rebuilt here.- Google
"Haven't had a bad dish yet, but am partial to the fish and chips!"
"The beer selection was also great."

Very simple review... They pour Guinness the way a Guinness is meant to be poured. That's enough for me.

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant! They have great food at reasonable prices and the service is awesome. This is our favorite date nite spot.

This is the place in this area for fine Irish bar food at a good price - the fish and chips are especially good! I'm baffled at the low rating here - it deserves better than almost all of the Cornelius restaurants listed! I gather some had poor service - mine's always been very good indeed! And hokey or not, the atmosphere works (and I've been in pubs in Galway!) Really worth a try!

No one goes to an Irish bar for the fare, and Galway is no different. That said, I went there on a first date and was impressed both with the setting and the friendly service. The 'Piccata Flounder' was uneatable - literally - the sauce was the furthest thing from a lemon piccata sauce and the fish was fried. That said, some assistant manager walking around noticed my putting the dish aside, came over and checked and promptly took it back, offering a variety of different, complimentary options. His professional service and resolution was quite unusual. My date's fish tacos were quite acceptable and the table they gave us by the fire delightful. I would go here again in a second.

My family and I had an excellent experience here last weekend. We had a reservation for 7:00PM. When we arrived our table wasn't ready, but the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable while we waited. To compensate for our wait, they gave us a private room and a complimentary round of drinks. Excellent customer service.

Restaurant interior is very welcoming and cozy in the winter. Food is a little above average and the portions are sizable. Good beer selection but make sure you ask questions from the very good service staff prior to making a selection. Overall a pretty nice place.

Love the atmosphere. The sesame salmon was delicious. The beer selection was also great. Mixed with friendly servers. Will recommend and go back.
