Fascinating! Did you know there is an American Opera called The Ballad of Baby Doe that is (loosely) based on this tale? I saw it performed in Colorado...thrilling and tuneful!

Our family traditions include my mother's "yellow bowl" arrival...her famous rice pudding! We are puddin' heads, all! PS: Native Americans celebrate at least 6 thanksgivings per year...a thankful people. Also, we like to party.
