Sean Paul pops in to see the students and staff at Wayne’s cup

A huge thank you to Jamaican born dancehall superstar and music producer #seanpaul for coming in to meet the staff and students at #waynescup on Wednesday 22 February.

Sean Paul even gave us a signed copy of his latest single!

Sean Paul’s distinct voice, catchy rhythms and first class productions have been the perfect blend for the success of this Grammy Award-winning Jamaican international superstar.

To date Sean Paul has released eight studio albums including; Dutty Rock, 2002; which he won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album, The Trinity, 2005; which was certified platinum in Europe and by the Recording Industry Association of America. He also went on to release Imperial Blaze, 2009; Tomahawk Technique, 2012, and most recently Full Frequency in 2014 which were all well received.

Sean Paul’s hard work and dedication over the years has earned him several Grammy and Billboard Music Award nominations and his accomplishments include an American Music Award, MOBO Awards, Soul Train Awards, MTV Music Awards, ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Music Awards, a Source Award as well as a BET Award.

In last night’s 2017 #BRITs in London, Sean Paul was nominated in the Best Single category with Clean Bandit and Anne-Marie for Rockabye and twice in the Best British Video category for Rockabye as well as with Little Mix for Hair.

Aside from being a top-notch performer, Sean Paul is an excellent music producer and has created music with a number of top Jamaican artists.

When not in the studio or on stage, Sean Paul likes to keep active with a game of tennis. He also enjoys intellectual conversations, drinking herbal tea and watching or participating in sports like basketball and swimming.

Thanks again for your support Sean Paul!

New website for Wayne’s cup café and life skills centre

Wayne's cup, the not-for-profit #cafe and life skills centre in #Markham, #Ontario, which is dedicated to the development of adults with #specialneeds, is pleased to announce the launch of our new #website at

The website provides a detailed insight into the work we undertake including teaching our students to produce all the food which is freshly prepared each day and sold in our café. The café, as well as selling delicious salads, Panini’s, cakes, cookies and a wide selection of hot and cold beverages, develops students interaction with customers as well as teaching basic merchandising, stock management, using of a cash register and the importance of hygiene in a food service environment.

Our life skills centre is focussed on equipping students with the necessary skills to give them a better quality of life and includes personal hygiene, household chores, meal planning, grocery shopping, money management, anger management, building relationships, literacy, numeracy, #cognitive stimulation and self concept.

Our new website outlines how you can help to #support our work how to #donate via #gofundme or #paypal, #sponsorship of a student (as the families of many students do not have the resources to enable them to join our program), organising a #fundraiser or even becoming a #volunteer.

We have also added additional special needs resources including the #latestnews stories with some inspiring videos as well as a collection of useful links to organisations which can help to support adults with special needs.

Most importantly, our website will evolve, and if you would like to see additional resources added why not call us on 905-471-0808, send an email to or even better come in and talk to us at 9889 Markham Road, Unit 4, Markham, Ontario.
