"The ribs and terrors in the whale arched over me a dismal gloom

While all God's sunlit waves rolled by, and lift me lower down to doom.
In black distress I called my God when I could scarce believe Him mine,

He bowed His ear to my complaint, no more the whale did me confine.
My songs forever shall record that terrible, that joyful hour,

I give the glory to my God, His all the mercy and the power."

‘Noles—
Once again, FSU Sand Volleyball will be in Sarasota for the Fiesta on Siesta Key sand volleyball tournament!!  Check out this team video to catch-up on this year’s players and their National Championship dreams.  FSU is currently ranked #4 with a record of 12-1.

First up, meet the entire team, receive a team poster and have it signed by every player!!  Sponsored by JJ Taylor Distributing, the Sarasota Seminole Club is hosting the ‘Noles for a meet/greet at 6:45p on Thursday, April 10th at Gecko’s on Clark Road.  To register for this event, RSVP by e-mail (ktubeck@fsu.edu).

Then, starting at Noon on Friday, April 11th watch matches on the sand until dusk.  The tournament continues at 9a on Saturday with pairs and team matches all day until dusk.  The tournament ends with championship bracket play starting at 9a on Sunday.  FSU Sand Volleyball team will be featured all 3 days, so there will be non-stop ‘Noles action on the sand!!

To support the team, join the “Sandy Seminoles” and receive some great benefits, including an FSU Sand Volleyball t-shirt or tank top.

Go ‘Noles!!

It's quite possible that the outrage regarding the "new" FSU logo has already surpassed that from the How I Met Your Mother finale.

Sarasota Seminoles, it’s time to show your support for FSU and future Noles!

FSU’s Great Give begins today at 9 a.m., so please take a moment to go online and make a tax-deductible gift (to the extent allowed by the law) today in support of the Sarasota Seminole Club Scholarship Endowment.

Here’s how you can help create a lasting impact for future Sarasota Seminoles in 5 easy steps:
1. Visit http://greatgive.fsu.edu/
2. Select “Give Now”
3. When prompted to select designation, click “More Designations”
4. In the fund description type in “Sarasota”. Our fund should be the last option: Sarasota Seminole Club Scholarship Endowment (F07912).
5. Fill out the remaining information
Our goal is to raise $7,500, and I know with your support we can achieve it!

Please remember that the Sarasota Seminole Club Scholarship Endowment will provide academic scholarships for incoming students from Sarasota County, Florida attending Florida State University.

Please share FSU’s Great Give with your family and friends. Every gift, no matter the size, will help us achieve our goal.

Go Noles!
Frank Maggio, President
Sarasota Seminole Club

P.S. All gifts made during FSU’s Great Give are tax-deductible, to the extent allowed by the law.

In Sarasota, our colleges compete in "Creative" College Football... if you haven't checked this out, you should.  New College vs. Ringling College of Art + Design
Editor's note: Unlike Florida's most prominent institutions of higher learning, neither the Sarasota-based Ringling College of Art and Design nor New College of Florida sports a real football team. But the two schools created an annual ritual by playing each other in a pick-up game for charity.

My sister needed someone that was good, reliable and local for computer repair/evaluation work. Shawn's Computer Repair exceeded expectation. I would highly recommend them for any work that you're looking for.
