I tried Indian food for the first time here since it was close to work. I had also heard from some of my co-workers that their food was great. I'm so glad I did. The people there are great. They advised me on what I should try since I was an Indian food "newbie". They are super friendly and helpful.....I was hooked! I found myself eating there at least twice a week. I would definitely recommend this place.

The buffet is definitely worth a try. You can order your naan and chicken upon arrival and keep it coming as a part of the buffet for no extra charge, unlimited. The food is delicious and the portions are big. Plenty of vegetarian options too. The mango curry is great.

Most disappointing Indian dining experience ever. OMango is to Indian food as Chipotle or Taco Bell is to Mexican food - dumbed-down, bland, and utterly unsatisfying if you're looking for the real thing. The flavors are a mere shadow of what authentic Indian food is like. It's a bit like getting a Bud Light when what you ordered was a Guinness. I drove a good distance to try this place, but sorely regretted it after having my meal. If you want good Indian food, find a restaurant that is run by a family from India, who grew up cooking and eating real Indian food. This might be Indian-inspired, but it sure isn't Indian cooking.

Excellent Indian food at an excellent price. I have had Indian food made by my Indian friends and this is right up there. I had the pick two, tandoori Chicken Hirayali, which was super flavorful and tender and the Masala. The rice was not the best, but the garlic naan was fresh and chewy. For drinks they have wine and beer, and not just miller lite... they have craft beers from the local Two Brothers and a rotating Solemn Oath brew. I saw alot of other people getting the wraps which looked amazing. And they have a strong Indian clientele, which makes me think the food is truly authentic. I am so glad we found this place!

I love O'mango. I am sad about the new hours and limited constuction menu. Such great food and amazing service in a comfortable environment. Construction on 59 is terrible, but the food is worth it especially for the price. All the food is fresh, healthy and absolutely delicious, I can't wait for the full menu to return and hopefully the hours will change so I can make there during my lunch break.

Hi Laura. Thanks for the support. We are very much looking forward to getting the hours and menu back up to full speed as well. Do give us a call around your lunch break and we may be able to accommodate you some days: 630.449.5100. Regards, Anne Fitzgibbbons

I went for a sunday buffet trying to give myself a treat as I just moved around. It is so over priced for buffet and still tasteless food. The naan was cooked on tawa. The vegetables were tasteless and the sweet was a joke. The cake was two days old cut into small pieces. I have no Idea how can a Indian restaurant be so horrible and still run in Chicago with so many other option available.

As a true Indian i can say this is not Indian food, Indian food is all about spices.. I was so eager to taste my Paneer wrap and when i had my first bite i was totally disappointed ,seriously who owns O Mango please don't make fun of Indian food. did you ever eat Indian food seriously please go to any Indian Restaurant taste the food there and you will know what is missing in your food. Indian food is rich in spices and the food you served me Bland do you even know that there is a Spice powder called GARAM MASALA which Indians love to use in their food preparation... Being an Indian i am completely disappointed calling the spice less food as Indian food.

Hi Smita. I'm sorry you had a disappointing experience, and I wanted to address some of your concerns. OMango was started by 4 partners, 2 Indian, 2 American, with the goal of showcasing the flavor and vibrancy of Indian food and culture in an accessible way. We also prepare the food in a healthier way than you will typically find at Indian restaurants. The Chef who developed our menu and trained our staff is Raj Gandhi, who lives in Bangalore and trained our Chefs and Managers. We create our own Garam Masala in-house along with the rest of our curries and breads. Indian cuisine is very diverse, and we are inspired by that diversity to create some dishes that may appeal to someone who grew up in India and others that may be a good introduction to someone new to the cuisine. So many people in the US are missing out on this amazing culture and cuisine, and if our approach allows them to take the first step to learn about the food and culture, we are happy. On the same note, when our Indian clientele tell us they enjoy OMango because they can come multiple times a week or month, enjoy the flavors they love, but know that the food is wholesome and healthy, we have succeeded. I'd be happy to direct you to the dishes that might be a better fit for your taste. Feel free to email me at anne.fitzgibbons@eatomango.com. Thanks, Anne Fitzgibbons Managing Partner OMango

The food is fantastic, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is friendly and attentive. These factors, combined with the nice, peaceful ambiance have made OMango one of my favorite restaurants. My family and I highly recommend it.
