Hi Smita. I'm sorry you had a disappointing experience, and I wanted to address some of your concerns. OMango was started by 4 partners, 2 Indian, 2 American, with the goal of showcasing the flavor and vibrancy of Indian food and culture in an accessible way. We also prepare the food in a healthier way than you will typically find at Indian restaurants. The Chef who developed our menu and trained our staff is Raj Gandhi, who lives in Bangalore and trained our Chefs and Managers. We create our own Garam Masala in-house along with the rest of our curries and breads. Indian cuisine is very diverse, and we are inspired by that diversity to create some dishes that may appeal to someone who grew up in India and others that may be a good introduction to someone new to the cuisine. So many people in the US are missing out on this amazing culture and cuisine, and if our approach allows them to take the first step to learn about the food and culture, we are happy. On the same note, when our Indian clientele tell us they enjoy OMango because they can come multiple times a week or month, enjoy the flavors they love, but know that the food is wholesome and healthy, we have succeeded.
