Ordered glasses on January the 5th, it is now March the 18th, I have yet to get my second pair, talked to manager Eric and he promised three weeks ago to get them. I have been to the store five times and made a over dozen calls to no avail. I complained about the local company and posted my situation on the corporate web site and received no response. I called and left a recorded message and the corporate company has ignored my call. Don't use this business. You will reget it Eddie Garrett

Had an appt to have eyes exam and even recommended a good friend to go as well. Needless to say, that was a mistake. First of all, the glasses for the special needs to really be free. I mean they are way in the back. So you know they are UGLY and cheap. Ok, ok so we (buddy and I) went ahead and ordered glasses, and contacts. Well it has been a mth and the glasses and contacts are still not back. Uh, this place makes Walmart Vision Center even more appealling. Might I add I took my work glasses to Walmart because they are contracted with the company I work for and you guessed it I got my glasses back from them already. Still waiting on Stanton. So all in all I would have to say this. If you need to see right away or within six mths of your eye exam...DONT GO TO STANTON OPTICAL.

It was great experience to explore Stanton Optical as they provide best services for contact lenses and glasses with quality consumer services. I found them to be locatable very easily and also i found that i can do communication over phone to place my order and it was really great as i placed orders on phone and got them done on right time for my Eye Glasses. The very thing which attracted me is clear communication and sense of awareness which they provide to their consumers regarding lense and glass quality and suggest best of the best. i am pretty much satisfied from the quality of my glasses and their services. A+

Read the whole thing--- 'We originally went in on Jan 18th to the Stanton Optical Store at 7990 Springboro Pike in Miamisburg, Ohio. We did not have an appointment, so we expected a short wait time. The appointment was available within 25 minutes, so we waited and looked through the selection of frames. After the exam was over, we waited more than an hour just to order the glasses. The store did not seem that busy, but we were helped by three different people, each one got up and left in the middle of the order to help someone else. They could tell we were agitated. We finally got the order processed and were told that the glasses should be here by Thurs Jan 31st, but for sure by Sat Feb 2nd at latest. We never heard from the store either way, so we went in on Feb 2nd assuming they would be there (since they said that would be the latest) and was told they hadn't come in yet, but they would call corporate and make sure they were first out on Monday the 4th. We again never heard anything so we called to check on Wednesday the 6th. They still weren't in. We went back in to the store on Friday the 8th talked to Eric (manager) he blamed the lab and said he would do a rush and have them on Monday the 11th. We were upset that no one had ever even called to tell us if they were or weren't there or why, so he promised he would call if they weren't there on Monday and would give me 1/2 of my money back if they weren't. (Remember this part later on.) Again, another promise fell through and we never heard from anyone until the evening of Wednesday the 13th when we did get a call that they were in. We then made the 45 minute drive on 14th to pick them up. During the fitting my wife told them she couldn't see out of them, they checked them and found that the prescription had been entered in incorrectly, so we talked to Mike the sales manager and had them re-ordered and promised that they would be in at the first of the next week. Of course we didn't hear back from anyone again until Friday 22nd. Went back in on Saturday the 23rd to pick up one more time (again 45 minutes one way). Tried the glasses on and they were wrong...again. We had 2 people tell us that we were wrong and that the glasses were right, it was just something my wife would have to get used to. When we refused to take them, they finally checked and found that we were right and that the glasses were once again made incorrectly to the wrong prescription. We asked to talk to the Manager. He was smug and said to me that "What happened now was our decision, he could re-order them again and give me the half off (that he had already offered all the way back on the 11th) or I could just cancel my order and get my money back." He also said he would not get us the glasses and a refund. He said we would have to contact Customer Service, that there was nothing else he was going to do there. We had him re-order the glasses again. He said we would have them Monday. Well, Monday has come and gone again. Is this how Stanton works? Each time we were in the store, someone else was complaining about their glasses, we now understand the frustration each of those customers must have been going through. We are in customer service, so we understand how demanding it can be sometimes, but constant mis-handling of our issue has prompted us to search for more. Is it unreasonable for us to ask for the glasses and a refund? Our situation has not been handled one, two, three, now on it's fourth time? Each person, blaming someone else, most recently it has now been to a lab in Florida and a lab in Toledo and both have made the mistake?' I sent the above letter to their customer service two days ago. The auto-reply said that they received it and would review it. I again, for a fifth time have been let down, I have had no contact. So...40 days later, still no glasses, no refund, and still waiting.

I’ve had my last experience with Stanton Optical On 1/2/13 I placed an order for 2 pair of glasses (Dayton Mall location – Miamisburg, Ohio). I was promised I would have my new glasses in about 2 weeks. I felt this was a little long but went ahead with the order anyhow. Two weeks came and went. No word from the store. I called them and was told it would probably be another week. The third week came and went, no word from the store. I called again and was told it would be another week. I told them I was losing patience with them. After four weeks, one pair came in and I picked them up. No word on the 2nd pair. This weekly routine went on for another 3 weeks. I finally had had enough. After 7 weeks, I requested my money back. They refunded ½ of the money I paid since I had picked up 1 pair. I figured that was fair enough and we parted ways, forever! No apologies, nothing from the store manager. Deal with these people at your own peril.

I have bought my contacts and had my exams done with Stanton a couple of times and each time I have recieved the same Rx, same price, and the same speedy service. I was somewhat nervous about how quickly the doctor looked at my eyes but over nearly 3 years my eyes havent changed. The DOCTORs got me my contacts and set me up real good. SO when I returned for my glasses for my wife I assumed I'd recieve the same service. We looked around for a while just like everyone else in the reviews but I eventually went and got a guy to help me. His name was Wes and he did a wonderful job selling me the glasses, even helping us find a similar style frame we were looking at but cheaper. I am in sales and I was waiting to 'get upsold' but that never happened. We walked out only spending $170.00 Everything seemed GREAT till we were walking out. My wife asked how long itd take (to confirm what they told us earlier; that it'd only take an hour or so) the other sales guy said 10 days!!!! She told me this in the car as we were getting lunch. Then I went back in the store to find my frames so that I could take them to another Stanton whose machines were not broken. I found out that they could not find my frames!!! It had only been 30 mins. He said that they were being driven up to the Beavercreek store. So i drove there to tell them to cancell or rush my order. I got there and they couldnt find them there either. Now I have been calling both stores every hour to see if they know wehre they are and neither places knows what I am talking about...It been about 8 hours since I paid for them. Overall experiece: Contacts Service = A+ Price of Contacts = A+ Glasses salesmen = B Glasses Tech Dept = F Customer Service = F Organization = F
