Top notch working lunch spot in the loop. Get a reservation. Perfect service. Had a salmon special with lots of flavor - others enjoyed sandwiches. Will be back.

Wonderful. Our server, Dudie, ordered for us. Would totally do that again - he chose great things that we never would have ordered ourselves. Ended with a chocolate tasting desert (again, something we would not have ordered - it was perfect). When you go, ask for Dudie and let him order for you!

Had the duck confit salad for lunch at the bar. The salad was superb and the service attentive but not overly so. A well run establishment worthy of its five stars.

Stopped in to this gastropub for lunch during a conference downtown. Got one of their burgers and it was very good. However, what really makes this place great is the service. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the menu/specials and very friendly. They checked in multiple times to make sure everything was perfect and ask if we needed anything.

Best fried pickles in the entire city. Brunch menu changed for the worse. They seem to have lost their pastry chef and got rid of the daily changing pastry offering. :( Nice atmosphere. Great interior design. Perfect location. Late brunch until 4PM. Also good for after work drinks.

Overall, I think this is a very nice restaurant, a Chicago staple, that's great for lunch meetings or for tourists on their way to/from the Art Institute. Their seasonal sodas are very interesting. My only complaint is that from a restaurant of this caliber, I wasn't expecting to bite into my sandwich and find a long back hair baked into the bread. That kind of ruined my appetite.

NEVER disappointed with the food or service. It can get a bit noisey for larger business meetings if you need to hear everyone at the table. I have been hosting out-of-towners there since they opened.

Just wanted to grab a solid lunch a small distance away from Hilton Chicago...and boy did The Gage not disappoint. They were pretty packed, but I was able to sneak into a high-top, snug in a back corner (not a big deal, I mean, it was just me eating). The waiting staff was super attentive and my server Wes informed me that they had Zombie Dust on tap when I asked about their selection of of my favorites! I also ordered the baby kale salad, which was on point! It had some flavorful thick cut bacon with a hint of a sweet glaze. It meshed well with the dressing and the tomatoes. Wes also pointed out a few popular items on the menu, but I ultimately went with my gut (and his first suggestion)...the Veal Burger. I tell you came out cooked perfectly and it was all around fantastic. An explosion of flavors from spicy to savory to a little sweet from the sauteed onion. I didn't leave a single scrap on my plate. I will definitely be returning when I am in Chicago again as this was just a great lunch experience for me overall. Thank yous go out to the staff and the kitchen! Superb Job!
