Best fried pickles in the entire city. Brunch menu changed for the worse. They seem to have lost their pastry chef and got rid of the daily changing pastry offering. :( Nice atmosphere. Great interior design. Perfect location. Late brunch until 4PM. Also good for after work drinks.

Stopped in to this gastropub for lunch during a conference downtown. Got one of their burgers and it was very good. However, what really makes this place great is the service. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the menu/specials and very friendly. They checked in multiple times to make sure everything was perfect and ask if we needed anything.

Just wanted to grab a solid lunch a small distance away from Hilton Chicago...and boy did The Gage not disappoint. They were pretty packed, but I was able to sneak into a high-top, snug in a back corner (not a big deal, I mean, it was just me eating). The waiting staff was super attentive and my server Wes informed me that they had Zombie Dust on tap when I asked about their selection of of my favorites! I also ordered the baby kale salad, which was on point! It had some flavorful thick cut bacon with a hint of a sweet glaze. It meshed well with the dressing and the tomatoes. Wes also pointed out a few popular items on the menu, but I ultimately went with my gut (and his first suggestion)...the Veal Burger. I tell you came out cooked perfectly and it was all around fantastic. An explosion of flavors from spicy to savory to a little sweet from the sauteed onion. I didn't leave a single scrap on my plate. I will definitely be returning when I am in Chicago again as this was just a great lunch experience for me overall. Thank yous go out to the staff and the kitchen! Superb Job!

Wonderful. Our server, Dudie, ordered for us. Would totally do that again - he chose great things that we never would have ordered ourselves. Ended with a chocolate tasting desert (again, something we would not have ordered - it was perfect). When you go, ask for Dudie and let him order for you!

NEVER disappointed with the food or service. It can get a bit noisey for larger business meetings if you need to hear everyone at the table. I have been hosting out-of-towners there since they opened.

Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, got there about 12:30 and had about a 30 minute wait. Service was prompt, attentive, and friendly, and the food was good. The tables are all very close to each other, and the noise level was a little above what I'm really comfortable with. Everything is a hard surface, so it just echoes around in there. I had heard this was a gastropub with a good beer selection. The beer selection was eclectic, but underwhelming. I had expected something like the Muddy Pig from the Twin Cities in terms of beer selection, so partly I overexpected. They have about 20 beers on tap from what I recall of the menu, and maybe equal the number in bottles. I had the slow roasted pork sandwich, a bit dry but tasty. My table also ordered the brussels sprouts with brie which was fabulous, and the wild mushroom sandwich - also very good. The prices we paid for our food was reasonable for the kind of restaurant this is. I would go back if I'm in Chicago, but hopefully at a less noisy time.

You could find my opinion on Gage very passionate and long-winded, but I'll be brief. As a frequent business traveler and fine diner, I've not had this level of whole satisfaction in a very long time. The ambiance, service and fare deserve a hand written letter of thanks to the owner and manager. You'd be foolish to have the opportunity to dine and forego. J. Peterman would write such a compelling review that international travelers from Monaco would add it to their list.

The Gage hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
