We've been helping the Vale of Glamorgan Park Service choose photos for some new interpretation boards at the village. Here is one of the original excavation in 1985/6. Do you recognise anyone?

Throughout 2011 lots of excavations were sharing their favourite finds from their dig on Twitter. We've collected some of the best and put them on a blog. Have a read and tell us which one you think should be the #FindOfTheYear 2011!

Did you watch Time Team yesterday evening? Tony Robinson and gang were digging up the fantastic buried Welsh medieval town of Kenfig (located about 30 miles west of Cosmeston) with our pot specialist Alice Forward on hand to help interpret the ceramics. If you missed the program you can watch it on 4OD. Let us know what you think!

We have updated our website with a new page which provides information on who is running the Cosmeston blog and why we set it up. It also includes a feedback form in case you wish to contact us privately.

If that wasn't enough we also have a shiny new URL! http://cosmestonarchaeology.co.uk is now the home of the blog, but don't worry, any old links will continue to direct to the correct page.

Happy New Year!
