Me and I
Go on, laugh at me. Who cares? While all the world just scorns and stares, I turn and shrug my cares away.     [My bitter tears sustain, inside,     The crushing pain I try to hide;     I never shrug my cares away.]   Yet which of me am I? The laughing face...

Alec M, sorry to hear about that. Are you sure you followed Simon's tip (right at the end of my article)?

Hi Judy, if you've followed the steps outlined above and your MBP is still not back to normal, I'm stumped. As long as it isn't crashing, I wouldn't worry too much; but if it keeps restarting at random, you would need to get it serviced, I'm afraid.

Cheers, and sorry for not being able to help more.

Neel Kalra,

By what you say it your comment, it seems you are not following the steps I outlined above. The correct procedure is not to copy your emails from V2 to desktop, but first to restore via Time Machine, then archive, then import.

Hope you get it sorted out. If you need any more help, let me know. Cheers.

Mark Sussman,

You have various options to save the 2 weeks of emails you don't want to lose. Your best option is to select every mailbox which has messages you want to save, and from the "Mailbox" menu, select "Export Mailbox" (do this step for each mailbox you want to save). Save your exported file(s) to the Desktop (or anywhere you prefer), and after you have performed the steps above, choose "Import Mailboxes" from the "File" menu.

Hope that helps. Cheers.
